It is that time of year again. Geneseo is having its gaming convention January 21-23. This year we will be running a 40k tournament on Saturday 22 starting at 10am 1850pt with painting and sportsmanship scored. I will be using a player ranked comp system that is simple and easy to use. On Sunday we will have a 2000pt fantasy tournament starting at 10 with painting sportsmanship and comp. I hope to see all of you there.

I might go to this but again my lack of knowledge of the area requires me to ask for locations etc...
Guys is this one worthy of a carpool or is it close enough to meet there?

Joe,
Geneseo is south of my area so you could always drive down to Leroy and we could then carpool to Geneseo. Anyone else on the west side is also welcome to tag along.

I'm debating going to this one. Could probably offer a ride to one other person. Have a four door car but limited trunk space (convertible) to store armies.

The convention is 30-40 minutes away from downtown Rochester, on the SUNY Geneseo campus. its close enough that if you are planning on playing the event you can drive there and back each night. The drive is straight down 390 south to the Geneseo exit, make a right, head about 7 miles and then turn into the college.

Is there any more details about the location? I know how to get to the campus but what building is it in, where do I park, etc...
Is there a link to a website or can someone post more details?

The tourney is typically in the MacVittie Student Union Ballroom, and even if its not, the GAGG registration will be there, so go there first. Attached is a campus map. The Union is building 14. Look to park in Lot K first and then Lot B. Parking is free the day of the event. Hope that helps and hope to see a good turn-out. Attachments:

Provided I don't have a hockey game to ref I could drive people from RIT / UoR / MCC if you want to meet up somewhere local (Millennium / RIT?).
PM if interested and I'll know my ref schedule by the 18th at the very latest.

According to their online registration thing it was only $5 dollars for Saturday and $5 dollars for the 40K tourney...
Then again I still have not figured out how to checkout like instructed on the page.
Anyone actually registered and paid yet? What's the secret of getting it done?

I have gotten clearance from my better half to go on Saturday for the 40k event. I'll probably run my GT list with some of the modifications I have been playing lately during the league. Who else from the area plans on going?
