Hello everyone, I have signed up to run the rudicon 40k tournament next year & have been asked to run the UB_Con warhammer 40k tournament. However with UB_Con there has been a lack of communication on their end recently so I don't know exactly what's up. Either way one of the major complaints was it looked very shoddy & "last minute" in an effort to counter this I present Version 1.6 of the tournament rules for your critique. Fixed some holes thanks to an amazing review by the guys over at MST40k. Here is the revised V1.6: docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B-vjqcpvRFMKNDA5OWMxOWQtYWM3ZC00ZjcwLWJjYTYtOWY3MDAwOWNmZjZm&hl=en&authkey=CKb8jesPAny comments / concerns / criticism is more than welcome as these are nowhere near the final product but I wanted to get an early start on feedback for it. Cheers.

Glad to see you starting early.
If you have any feedback to those running the main event please have them pony up for trash cans.
Schedule time in for a lunch break.
If you go more than 3 rounds...
Schedule time in for a dinner break.
I would suggest looking at some of the larger events in the area specifically at their time schedules for the event.
Showing up at 10 AM and then waiting until after 11 AM for an event to start just does not go well, especially for a paid event.

Time has been scheduled for lunch break.
I'll talk to them about trash cans
Timetable WILL be adhered to this time I plan on strictly enforcing this as it was a major complaint. I don't have control over how much time we get total but I'll try & get more.
This format borrows heavily from the Nova Open. I liked what I saw from them very much and tried to take a lot from them while adding in a couple of things on my own to streamline & fill in any cracks I could see.

Looks good. The only suggestion I've got is to look at the wording for percentages on the "Seek and Destroy" goal. If people win by more than 200, they might think their percentage is in the single digits. For example, if someone wins by 1000 pts, their "percentage" is 5. Although this actually means 500%, it looks like 5%.
I'm originally from the Buffalo area, so hopefully I'll be coming out for this.

Thanks for the look-over & actually the % is addressed in the last line of the paragraph "If the percentage is over 100%, record it as 100%.".
Hope to see you there.
