Borrowing this format a little bit from Travis and modifying it. Currently my modeling time and gaming time for Warhammer 40K is vested in my vanilla Space Marine codex army. I can almost field just about any option from the codex. However, I’ve gotten very few games in with my army and find that I usually lead them to some sort of horrible death march. In fact if you asked the various HQ’s I’ve fielded the last two years I’ve had the army they would probably all want to fire me and look for a new person to push them around on the battle field.
So for the next several months I want to try and get in games against several experienced people who hopefully will have various semi competitive armies’. The eventual end goal is to get more gaming under my belt, which hopefully will let me learn more about the overall Warhammer 40K gaming system and my specific army as well as others. How do I plan to measure my progress? I plan to play in the Da Boyz 2011 tournament. I was in attendance for Da Boyz 2009; however, I forget how I did over all. Unfortunately I missed Da Boyz 2010 due to medical reasons.
I would like to play each person who assists me in this venture at least 3 times on 3 different occasions. I would like your honest feedback after each game, whether you give it to me verbally after the game or send it to me on email or through the forums. In exchange I will give you some tokens of my appreciation, which will probably be little things like custom dice, Da Boyz branded objective markers and potentially other little things. Unfortunately unlike Travis I can’t offer you store credit or cash
Requirements – Your army needs to be at least WYSIWYG. I don’t care about painting; however, it is always more pleasant to see finished models. You need to be willing to be patient and put up with my questions, which I will try make meaningful. I may take pictures of our battles or of particular interesting scenarios that catch my attention or that I may interpret the rules wrong for.
Lastly I would like games to in general be in a point range between 1,000 and 2,500 points.
I’m willing to play you at any of the local shops below;
Millenium Games
Baldo’s
Pair-A-Dice
In general I’m available on the weekends and most Tuesday nights when my wife is not working a late shift at Strong Memorial Hospital. We are a one car house and usually if I don’t have the care it also means I’m watching our infant and not able to game.
Any takers?
