Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that I am open to hosting a paint day on a Sat that Travis does not have much going on. Basically these would be informal initially unless a group wanted classes on more specific things.
I mainly want to check and see if there is interest in this before I start the ball rolling.

I would love to do this, I paint alone in front of the TV usually and it would be good to get some live feedback and tips.

Sounds good. If people are interested in learning about basic wet pallet, proper paint thinning and flow agents I would be willing to share my knowledge.
For past clubs I've put together materials for people build a basic wet pallet and mix up a container of flow aid. I would be willing to do it again for any of the local stores as long as the stores don't mind me collecting a minimal fee for materials, no profit just mat costs.

I'd happily help with creating terrain and city ruins as I have a loads of extra pink foam, packing foam, hard board, sand, paint, etc... left over from the GT table that I built that I could contribute if we wanted to do group terrain building as well. I've been kicking around an idea to do an Eldar exodite based board for some time and this would be an excuse to get that started.

I can't do this Saturday or next due to Magic pre-releases and release events. The Saturday after that is our 40k event. So could we do Saturday, February 19th? Let me know if that works for you and if you could send me a synopsis of what you were looking to do I could put it on the website and the Facebook page. I think there will be solid attendance for this event due to it being ages since we have actually done one.

I'd like to participate but the 19th is bad for me. That is the day of the large apocalypse game that Pair A Dice is hosting.

There are several events on the 19th and I will be in Philly at the St. Valentines day massacre the 25th.
Let me know what your dates look like in March Travis and we can set something up there.
I would like to do something quarterly. The initial one would be paint tips, setting up a wet pallet, and a solid day of Q&A and advice.
Later events we could have a "build a display" day but we need it to be warmer to get the boards to dry in the sun hehe.
