i never really thought of riflemen as a good unit, but i may just have to include one maybe two in my grey knights force since from what i hear psycannon bolts give +1 strength to autocannons(among other things, including assualt cannons!!!!) so for aprox 130-140 pts your dread has 4 twin-linked S8 autocannon shots, to me that +1 stength makes a big diff in effectiveness(can glance av14,if neccessary to shoot at it), and reinforced aegis can be very usefull, the only tradeoff i see is it takes a heavy(unless u want an extremely expensive venerable riflemen)

I agree and intend to run 2 of them myself. I had originally intended to run a standard GK Dread but after seeing the rules and figuring how much MECH is out there they are a great addition to the army. That is at least 2 Rhino/Razorbacks/chimera's dead a turn.
I have seen a few people talking about taking the vens but that runs about 190 points. Hard to kill but too many points for my blood hehe.
At 2k points I may take a 3rd rifleman but not sure yet. Should be about 135 points.

Haha don't get too confident. After running lance-heavy Dark Eldar for a while, I've learned that it takes a huge number of S8 shots to reliably take down transports.

It'll be annoying. Its still an av12 platform that's easy to suppress. Venerable makes them more survivable but does little to prevent shaken/stun. Then you have 190pts doing nothing. Still ap4 too which is good for my big bugs.

They've got fortitude, so they ignore stunned/shaken most of the time.

yea that fortitude really just seals the deal, 4 48" s8 twin linked shots that has i high chance of ignoring shaken/stunned and protects everything within 12" from enemy psykers with a -4ld

While we are at it, why not just stick a 48 inch range demolisher cannon on it, maybe throw in FLEET as well.
Maybe we can squeeze mephiston inside the dreadnought too. I know why dont we put the d**n thing on wheels too with a dozerblade or something.
Maybe the Grand master can be a master of the forge as well so u can take six of them.

Don't be ridiculous, you would never need fleet on it if you had a demolisher cannon, just give it a 12" charge instead.

Man the consequences of vehicle psykers is going to be huge. Shadow in the warp doesn't effect embarked models but does it effect the transport itself?
Do vehicles test on 3d6 against runes of warding? If they peril on fortitude and take a shaken/stun on the glance, can they fortitude again?
Can a crucible of maledixtion take out GK vehicles? Does it take out whole GK units or a randomly chosen model if they fail?
Psy defense is going to double in impotance. Poor daemons, orks, tau, and necrons.

They should be affected by SitW, they area psyker within x" of a synapse model. The issue with transports was more the idea of 'where do we measure to' I believe.
A model can only use one psychic power a turn unless otherwise specified. I think the crucible is tested on a per model basis - not a per unit basis - I would be inclined to say it can remove a whole vehicle if the vehicle counts as a psyker.

i may be wrong but dont chaos marines also lack anti-psyker currently?? i think they will suffer greatly, since they dont have anti-psyker equipment and deamon princes should get torn up

Can a crucible of malediction take out GK vehicles? Does it take out whole GK units or a randomly chosen model if they fail? If the Justicar is still alive, it takes them out. Otherwise, it's a random model. With vehicles, hopefully they'll FAQ it. In the meantime, my Haemonculi are hoping to crucible down some Land Raiders ;D
