Hello!
I've been looking at getting back into playing 40k for awhile. I played years ago but haven't played in a long time and the people I used to game with have long since stopped playing.
I've been looking to put together an army but wanted to know if you guys have casual games and/or accept new players? Thanks!

We have a fairly large group that meets Tuesday around 5 pm and goes until 10pm. We hold monthly 40k Tournaments and quarterly 40k Lock-ins Our Website is www.millenniumgames.comThere are two other stores in town that carry Games Workshop as well as have regular nights for gaming. I will let them tell you what nights they have things going on. Here are their websites though in case they are easier for you to get to. Boldo's Armory- boldo.com/Pair-A-Dice Games- www.pairadicegamesllc.com/web/Good to have a new player. Feel free to PM if you have any specific questions about my store or what we do. The three of us do a pretty good job making sure that the local community has plenty of 40k to play. Travis

Indeed Rochester has a lot of great stores and more than enough events to keep a 40K, Fantasy or other miniature gaming busy for a long time!

Travis, do you guys get many people just spectating @ Millennium? I've actually never played 40k before, but have been interested in checking it out lately.

Spectators are always welcome. I would advise Tuesday nights or Saturday early afternoon as there will definitely be games to play. If your looking to learn there are a bunch of guys that are great at teaching the game.
If you need I can schedule you a demo game. Just PM here and we can come up with a time that works for you. We have an Ultramarines army, that was masterfully painted by James Arnold, that is for customer use. My space wolves are always there as well.
Our customer are pretty good about getting new player's involved with games. They realize the more player's, the more opponents, the better the leagues and tourneys are.
People show up on Tuesday's around 5 or so. We have a 2000 point tourney this Saturday. It starts at 10pm. It would be a good time to come down and see some of the top local player's. It will give you an idea of some of the armies that are played.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
