The first round starts at 6 pm and it will be 4 rounds of about 2 hours each, so should end around 2am. not much different than a night on the town, but it will cost you less and the missus doesnt have to worry bout where your are ;D i hear you there lol i thought about using my grey knights but i cannot come up with a 1k list that even feels survivable lol not even in a non-competative way

Keep in mind you will be playing with a partner so you can also think of a force that would be good at support. Your partner will appreciate it and you may get some wins because of it.

How are you handling units that "count as" a force org slot, but don't take one up (CSM Greater Daemons, Lesser Daemons, Spawn)? Specifically, which of the following options is allowed:
1) Greater Daemon plus other HQ
2) Greater Daemon counts as the 1 allowed HQ
3) Have to take a normal HQ, so no Greater Daemon is allowed

I will leave this one for Doug. He is running the event so he will more then likely chime in with an answer soon.

Jeff for purposes of this event I will make the ruling that the Greater Daemon does count as an HQ choice. (I believe this is how Adepticon handles it.) Lesser daemons and spawn still do not take up a force org spot. In otherwords bring as many spawn as you want. I have 10 that you could borrow.

i just realised through the MG facebook page that the lockin has a limit of sppots. i didnt even think about this before.so i probly will not be able to make it out there as i dont rly have 2+ hours to drive to MG and back to buffalo just to put money down to hold a spot

Dont worry about not having a spot. Since it is a team tourney there are going to be 4 people per table. So I can accommodate 48 players on just 12 tables. If you make the drive I will make sure you have a spot.

If anyone is interested in practicing for the lock in team event or this weekends 1250 pt event tonight, I'll be there around 6:00pm with my Chaos army.
If anyone sees Ben today, let him know I'll be there if he wants to swap the Fire Dragons.

Bumping the event.
I have several people prepaid for this event. It looks like it will be fun, we have some good food lined up and decent prize support. Hope to see everyone there!

I'll be there but I haven't decided if I want to try Eldar or Dark Eldar. Either way it will be the first time playing either army.

I'm going for a Footdar list. walkers, couple of serpents and blocks of guardians. I own just about all of the aspect troops except for banshees and dark reapers.
I've been buying stuff for this army for over 4 years and I figured it was time to put it to use. Now if I can just get that second serpent built in time for saturday...

I'll be there with my grey knights.
Do you need people to bring terrain?
