Warmaster's 40K Challenge is Coming August 20-21, 2011 They run a team event on Saturday and singles event on Sunday. I think this is best run small event (under 250 people). They had 52 teams last year and 66 players in the singles event. Shaun and I have gone the last two years. I it is only 3 hour drive and is a cheap event. Since it is in Canada they also have good beer. I really can't say enough good thinks about this event. Here is the link www.warmasterschallenge.com/

After meeting a few of the Canadian guys at last year's Da Boyz GT, I want to go.
Anyone else looking for a teammate & someone to split the room?

If anyone is looking for a doubles partner, drop a line on the Warmaster's web site and we can match you up. Most people prefer to have a local partner so they can prepare their lists together, but players can be matched up. Also, there is a full set of ringers available in case something goes wrong at the last minute with a partner, or whatever. And just so you know, the double beta scenarios are up in the 40k downloads section. www.warmasterschallenge.com/2011_40kChallenge/Downloadsnetter

We had alot of fun. We stayed at the westin in kitchner saturday night. game room with bowling, hot tub, mini golf(yes in the hotel), plus most important, the bills game at hotel bar on 50". the venue was a kids fun land with go-karts mini golf and splash pool. it would make a great family weekend.
Missions were good, kinda rushed at times. game 3 started late because the judges were using mag lites to look at 4 armies for judges choice. Awards started late and event ended almost an hour late. usually not a problem at all, but I had fantasy football draft that night. everyone was very nice and they took american at face value(god i miss 60 cents on a dollar).
definetly will go again next year. I need to work on my painting score.
MOST IMPORTANT awesome thing. they did a chineese raffle for alot of cool models. that way people have shot at what they like. I saw people win prizes last year at Da'Boyz that just handed it to someone else (think patrick did alright with that last year).
