my Grey Knight lock in list for this saturday
Grand master --force sword --rad grenades
Ven. dread -twin linked autocannon -psybolt ammo -hvy flamer
5 terminators -1 hammer -1 halberd w/ psycannon -3 halberds
5 terminators -1 hammer -1 halberd w/ psycannon -3 halberds
dreadknight -heavy incinerator
i thought about dropping the hvy flamer on the ven dread for a couple skull probes but i dislike deepstriking as i always seem to get the bad end of it lol so i think ill stick to footslogging the termies/dreadknight
theres a 2/3 chance everything except the grandmaster himself can be scoring(even the ven dread thanks to FAQ) and he also adds a nice 3++ to one of the units in CC
this force doesnt look like much by itself but i think itll do a pretty d**n good job at supporting/counterflanking with a team-mate, i just hope my teammate brings the anti-tank since all i have is 48" S8 2 shots and 2 24"psycannons at least until i resort to using hammers for can-openers

Here's mine:
Libby + sanctuary, shrouding, vortex, 1 skull
2 paladins + 1 hammer
Strike squad x5 + 1 halberd, 1 psycannon
Razorback + psybolts, search light
Strike squad x5 + 1 hammer, 2 halberds, 1 psycannon
Rhino + search light
Dread + assault cannon, autocannon, psybolts
Dreadknight + hvy incinerator, teleporter

I haven't read the GK codex yet. Are they making you purchase the search light as an extra cost to the base rhino?

well im assuming since you put the list up for criticizing you probably want it to be tip-top, so heres what i got:
if you are going to bring psybolts on the dread, why not bring 2 autocannons? the heavy flamer doesnt benefit from the psybolts, and if im not mistaken an autocannon is pretty close to (if not equal to) the cost of the flamer. not to mention, having one great long range gun and one great close range gun is kind of... not optimal for a dreadnought.
one of your terminator squads might want to bring 2 hammers, just in case one goes down on accident, or there is something extra big and nasty that needs to go down... especially after you had already voiced concerns about not being able to take care of armor.
other than that, it looks very close to something i would have played with my deathwing at this points level, so theres not really a lot for me to complain about ;D

hmmm good points zack ill just drop the flamer off him and make the two hammers master crafted i think the psybolt is still worth 5pts if only to make one autocannon and a storm bolter +1S , and i still want him up in CC-support range as backup in the case you mentioned with running into MC's or vehicles
**sighs reading deathwing and thinks about lack of stormshields lol

As for the list I still like psychotrophic grenades far better that rad grenades. While they are random I believe some of the affects can change the outcome of the game, plus its just d**n funny to see the look on you opponents face when his wych squad attacks each other and loses combat.

When in doubt, buy them all!
Nothing funnier than making mephiston init1 with psyk-outs, t5 with rads, hit him automatically (#2 with psykotrokes, and he only gets 1 attack), and instakill him with str10 hammers thanks to hammerhand.

ok so im making a last minute change, swapping out the dreadknight for a vindicare(using my extra slot for elite) and buying pscho-nades for the GM since its an even point exchange,
losing wounds and toughness, but gaining a more realistic objective camper and he usually does fairly well for me at popping vehicles, or taking out heavy weapons/plasma/power weapons ;D
except that one game where he rolled a 1, then a 2 two turns in a row!!!(he hits on 2's, 4+ reroll)
