I don't see why not. Some of my 50 point master isn't going to be painted unless things drastically change. The painting thing is only a 30 point list after all.

One proxy is fine. Not having everything painted is fine. The judging will only be on 30 ss worth of models.
You can swap masters out if you like you bring a list with 50 ss worth of figures of which you need to be able to make a legal 30 ss force all of the same faction.

Tuesday night the 16th a bunch of us are gonna get together and play. Some of us are still a bit shaky on rules and such. If your not doing anything from 4pm to 10pm come by and get some games in.

I have to take my dog to the vet @ 515 after that I will be in to play. Bringing Hamelin so it should be exciting. I have a ton of crews. If there is something you want to try out feel free to stop by and we will get you moving some mini's. I personally own every model from the first book. So let me know.
Please come if you rusty. This is a shake the rust off type event. Most player's are new or fairly unfamiliar with the game. This is great if you haven't played in a bit.

Due to this being the first event and trying to keep things simple we will only be using the general schemes. None of the Master or Faction specific schemes will be used for this event.
Some of the specific schemes are not only confusing but very lopsided.
Moving forward we may change this on our next event.
We will also not be using the Recon or Slaughter strategies. That means there are 4 left of which we will be playing 3.

Guys I had a lot of fun at this event and learned a lot. The more I play this game the more I like it and the less interested I am in 40K hehe. The last game I played had some really interesting combo's but with all the noise it was hard to hear my opponent making it harder to learn what he was doing heh. I am really looking forward to the next event and glad that Travis had an opportunity to play.
Best part is I figured out how to play my crew but now I have to paint up a whole new crew for the next tourny in order to compete in paint hehe. Great sales tactic Travis hehe. I like the Showgirl models and bought everything I need except for the 2 coreyphee which were not in stock. Let me know when you get a pair in.

Thank you Travis for putting on a fun event. I enjoyed my games and had a great time. I still am not very solid on the rules but I did have a good time painting my miniatures and challenging myself. The only negative I could say was that I wish more people would have showed up. Hopefully next time!
In line with Fishboy's post I also find this game more to my liking since a starter crew is about $40 and the game tends to be in better balance overall. ( Or at least I havent figured out how to break it yet!) I am not ready to eBay my 40K stuff but I can say that right now this is an outstanding diversion from the codex creep, recycled crap that GW has fed us over the past few months. Try it and tell us what you think!
