Thank you to all those who contributed to making this event happen this year. I had a great time and as usual the missions were interesting, the composition resulted in some very interesting armies and the terrain was awesome.
I know this is a ton of work for you guys!

Ditto. Had a great time and some fun games. I liked the venue a lot more also in terms of location, parking, and the availability of hot food and beer was awesome. Top-notch job by everyone involved!

I speak for myself and the other Erie guys who came in saying we had an amazing weekend playing 40k with everyone. We made some friends and look forward to seeing them again. The venue was top notch with lots of room. I would like to also thank all the judges and Da Boyz for making this happen, a job well done everyone and thank you. Furthermore, I would like to thank the sponsors and gameshops for coming out and giving us a look at your wares and saving us from not having tape measures, dice, display boards etc. It was a great help and I appreciate it. Great missions, great armies and large amounts of fun were had.

Once again, a fun and well run tournament. All of my opponents were great (I felt bad having to rank some of them down in sports) and I really liked the venue. Looking forward to next year!

The GT was... Okay. there were some SNAFU and FUBAR things that caused a snowball effect of holding up the start of a few things but, on the whole I had fun. Not sure if I'll be back next year (to defend mt Table title again) as my Finances are a little tight (my folks covered hotel this year... for example)

This is the darkly clad, bloody redhead who played Tau, firstly I wanted to say thanks for the fun time, I don't really go to tournies above 30 people so this is always an interesting experience for me, not as much 'eye candy' as last year but I survived. -grin- I did have a question concerning my points though if: daboyzgt.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=K5rg1VCnUgM%3d&tabid=96&mid=468is the proper link, than sadly I believe my last game was not counted? I scored 0, 35, 35, 35, 17, 35 in battle points which should of come out to 157, not 122? If the rest of the points are accurate I think with my battle points and comp points added I should of got Best General instead of Best comp? and placed as one of those tied for 2nd place in the overall? If I am totally off the mark here, and somehow got docked 35 battle points or I am looking at the wrong listing please let me know. I could be just looking at rankings after game 5, but I thought I was ranked 3 in best general at that time, and after winning game 6 I shouldn't of dropped down the list, or so I thought? But I will certainly say I loved the comp system, it certainly helped provide a more level playing field I felt, and helped avoid seeing as much spam. I had a fun time just trying to come up with a valid list while painting it in time, and getting the best comp I could. I was a little disappointed seeing so many gray knights players, really wished people played the army they liked for more reasons than just game play, but I understand it is a big tournie and people like to win, myself included. So again, please let me know if my points were tallied wrong. Thanks

Thanks go out to Andy, Trevor, Smitty and every other judge/coordinator that helped make this event possible. I had a good time, was confused by something's, but at the end of the day these folks made it possible for us to spend a weekend playing games as smoothly as possible. Jay you doing a great job, and don't let the dakka haters hate!

Jay you doing a great job, and don't let the dakka haters hate! +1 I can't imagine all the work that goes into making everything come together for an event like this. The amount of space Jay and Chris must have set aside for terrain storage at home is mind boggling. I know you guys were struggling with software, but I think most people respect what an undertaking a GT is and that issues will arise. I had a blast and my only gripes are with my personal performance and a couple less-than-enjoyable opponents. You can't make everyone happy and you'll go crazy if you try. FWIW, I liked this year's event even more than last year. Beer on site, more space, and the comp rubric were all improvements in my book.

What kind of software issues were you guys having?
I'd like very much to play in the next GT, but if I can help smooth out any problems beforehand, I'd be glad to do so.
What software were you using to run this?

Scott, I think I am going to get a hold of our software and let jay use ours. We did our pairings at wargames con and it was under 5 seconds that we had pairings done. That way next year it can make things easier on Jay and his crew.
We are trying the software up at feast of blades this week with out our IT guy there so it will be the true test to see if it works without having a hitch.

I looked you up Andy after our game to see how you did on Battle Points and I was surprised as well. I was wondering how we got paired together if you have only ~90 BP before the game since I was at 125.
Great game btw, I replayed it in my head for the last 3 days and it kills me that I got too aggressive at the end. You played it perfectly to take the come back win in Turn 5.
Edit: My offer stands from 2 years ago, I can write a program as a standalone executable in C++, a database with a web page front end or using Macros in VBA w/ excel if need be. If it is done using a web based database (or access), you can even have multiple people entering data into the results sheet simultaneously without any collisions.
The program you need is basically an extension of programs I wrote for my dissertation.

And thanks, I made sure to check for you in the list to, to see if they maybe gave you the win instead, but seems they just didn't give me the points for our game, which seems to have cost me a bit. Either way lots of fun, I rarely get to play daemons in boston, was very interesting and eye opening.
