I checked out this contest, and while I would say its pretty neat there are some drawbacks to it as well. My one issue is that if you lose a head-to-head competition, you are required to mail on of your models to the winner. Locally I might not mind doing this but I really don't have any desire to send one of my models away to some stranger. The upside however is that if you are good, you could collect a lot of models and some prize money ( used to buy Simple Green to strip the horrid models you will be getting sent your way ). This contest is not for me but if some of the local guys compete post it on here so we can swing some votes your way.

"My one issue is that if you lose a head-to-head competition, you are required to mail on of your models to the winner."
This isn't required anymore if you read section 6 fully:
"6. The LOSER (sorry so harsh) will be asked at that point to send to his or her victor, one miniature. If you would rather save the time or effort from sending a miniature from your collection, $5 dollars (American) through Paypal is also acceptable should you wish. NOV 20-2009 ADDENDUM...this 'rule' is no longer such, it is now considered a suggestion. I'll not police it, and I'm leaving it here only because the 'booty prize' has become a nice tradition. "
It's suggested but in no way mandatory according to the 20-2009 Addendum. Also If you want you could also send $5 through paypal or something but again it is in no way mandatory.

Thanks for clearing that up. If that is the case then I'm back in.
