I posted up updated pics with the new additions to the crew as well as a couple group shots of the crew thus far.
Any suggestions as to what to add next?

So I have posted up group shots and painted up Avatar Kirai last night.
Looking at what to paint up next for the crew. I'm thinking VonSchill might make a decent addition...

Since Dorian ditched me last night I bought a couple new models and went home to paint. Here is last nights progress, all models started the night bare metal/plastic and I poured the resin bases on the spot. More of my speedpainted style but not bad overall. 10 canine remains, miss-pack 3 drowned Mcmourning "ghost" kirai, needs some work yet. Flesh construct, needs highlighting yet.

I have to say you have actually inspired me a bit. I decided to try a new, faster method of painting a model. Last night, I took a gunsmith from primered with skin done (had been sitting that way a while) to finished. I used some of the techniques you have described. I also tried another method on the same model, working on my blending skills. All in all, she was quite the experiment. I'll post pictures of her in the near future. I don't think I'm ready to tackle a whole crew this way, I do like the results.

I liked the models for the drowned but I didnt want them in my normal paint scheme. I like the "aqua" ethereal look to them with the magic chains that bind them.
Of course how / where they drowned when they are put onto desert themed bases is up to debate...
