thanks for the feed back.
I really like the armory because you could drink beer and play. we did get a bunch of negative feed back from using the armory. or maybe it was just the loudest voices.
It looks like we locked down the November 10 and 11. We are still working out a room rental for Friday, but i am sure it will come through.
It will be at the UofR this year. at this point we have some creative ideas for table placement so everyone can have a sideboard to display there army.

Hello Jay and the other members of Da Boyz Just some thoughts about the Armoury in November. How reliable is the heating? Last year some of the mornings were a bit nippy before the sun came out. The beer was a VERY nice touch however the food was lacking. If you could post a possible menu to the attendees could the feedback help the bar focus and stock a better selection? The space and the ability to put our display boards/armies off to the side was awesome. Please do consider a similar layout. How is the digital projector, countdown clock/major announcement thing coming along? It would really help given the size of the main hall. Once again great event and I am looking forward to the 2012 edition! Mongo

We plan on doing it at the University of Rochester again this year. There were people that loved the armory and people that hated it.
It will be 8, 9, and 10th. We are still working out the details.
We plan on using the digital projector like we did last year. It will be in a better location.

+1 on terrain. I picked up a tabletop foam cutter that can do precise angles. It actually makes decent ruined walls and buildings as well as the usual hills and such. I can pump out several dozen pieces an hour. I'll be making a few new tables for my personal collection, but lmk if you want anything mass produced for the GT.

I know everyone is eagerly awaiting the release of 6th, making plans for the Summer tourney's and the like. But I just wanted to verify that Jay's last post on this thread is this correct dates and location for the GT this year.
