Check out what MVB is working on for this year's NOVA. Pretty impressive terrain building for a 256 player event IMO. A lot of detail going into those ruins that some people wouldn't even consider for such a large project. I'd love to be able to put together some building sessions like this for our event. whiskey40k.blogspot.com/2012/03/doing-radical-stuff-with-pink-foam-tips.html

If a local can setup the day, I will make the trip down to help out with the terrain. I think the boards at Da Boyz are generally very very good, but it never hurts to have some extra BLOS terrain to spread around (unless 6th changes something significant)

I've had good luck with the Y shaped wand from foam factory or what ever its called that Travis has at his store.. I had an old school wand that worked great until I broke the string and haven't been able to find good replacement wire. The foam factory stuff is nice cause it plugs in vs plowing through D batters like my old wand. I also have a hot knife that I bought at harbor freight, it nice cause I can make deeper cuts but it just doesn't leave the clean cuts that the wire ones do. If anyone want to try any of the equipment I have you are more than welcome to stop by. Jay and I have try to organize these terrain days at both stores but haven't had much luck with people showing up (one or two others at each store). We typically provide all the materials too. We would love to have more people show up and help build terrain.

I am in to help if needed and given enough time. I have a hot knife somewhere as well.

We usually have a table contest as well so if you are bringing your stuff let Jay know how many tables you plan to fill with terrain. Let us know if you need a table cover for your terrain and what color.

How about something in June or July. I want to see that fancy new foam cutter you got! I'll cut as many foam ruins and hills as people are willing to paint. We probably want to wait until 6th drops to see what the new terrain recommendations will be. That way we can focus on building whatever pieces are needed to fill the gap between 5th ed and 6th ed tables.
