Id be in for a team league though I would probably be in regardless.
As a preference I would prefer some sort of captains/draft team format as opposed to make your own team which could get absurd quick as Aaron mentioned.
The territories could be cool as well with each zone being a different point value.

SadFace,no one likes my Idea's.... ,,|,, I'm joking, and that's why I put this out there, I like that idea Aaron, lemme see what I can come up with at work. but before i do anything I have questions for you guys. 1) with this being team based, are we looking to maybe make this longer? like push out past the 3 month mark? 2) GW makes this fine map-based plant empires www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat440320a&rootCatGameStyle= do we maybe buy a set or two(or borrow) and run it off that? 3)Army selection: some people like playing more that one army, they allowed to switch or are they stuck playing the same army over and over 4) if we do something map based, were going to "hard cap" resources so that one team just doesn't start tea baggin the other teams turn 2? 5) how would we handle quitters/dropout/ life events? Lemme know ~Ben Also + 1 for no female doging/rants/ihateyouandeverythingyoustanforhobbywise yet, lets see if that last past page 3 Also i updated page 3, that's gonna be the main page

What about a risk-style narrative league where each team can attack 2 "territories" and defend 2 per period. The team with the most territory at the end wins. Could draw up a star chart or planetary map to track weekly battles. Kevin, I would pick you first. Ben just make it so jay, courtney, and shaun can't be on the same team gee....then they wouldnt play I would try to be in whatever you choose to do but I like the idea of waiting til after 6th. It would be a great introduction to the new rules.

i like the narrative/ map based idea, haven't had one of those in years.
and i'm totally down for some apocalypse megbattle action, maybe even with some planetstrike and cities of death thrown in.

I'll gladly help draft a format and fluff for a narrative team campaign if you'd like.

Prolly the name throwing him off. I was like "wtf does spartan mean" also. Yeah I was what the heck is Spartan League, then was oh I wonder if he means "Spartan Games" who makes Dysopian Wars. A game the hippy hipster has been trying to get us to play. Plus I couldn't believe you were try to run another 40k league since you dropped out of the last one you ran! WTF ROB?!?!?!?!?!

So me and hyv3mynd are working on a team/mapbased/6th.ed set up for this,
Again and this is why I opened this up thread what days are people good for some 40k? is tuesdays good or is thurs? do we want to to this before the gt? If so we get a lot of play time in with different armys and against different armys? if we go before the gt the offical start week would prob be that of the aug 26- sept 1. and run either 8 or 10 weeks
Lemme Know Ben.

tuesdays or thursdays are ok, my biggest issue is starting before 7pm. there's plenty of time to play a reasonably sized game but a lot of the games have already started by then.
if it's a map based thing we need to make sure all participating players have contact info posted for coordinating games, if you could reserve a little real estate on the wall in the back room i think that would help us arrange games and stay on track.
now with 2 player teams are we going to mix and match 1 & 2-player games? will there be any sort of dynamic for the 'team' aspect of the league?
