Malifaux Lock in
When: Saturday, May 19th Time: 6:30 pm gather time. Start around 7 pm (subject to change) Where: Millennium Games Cost: $10 Format: Declare 1 leader (Master or Henchman) and a 55 ss pool of minions, 35 stones per round. 4 rounds of play. First two rounds will be 1 vs 1. Last two rounds will be 2 vs 2. Scoring will be Victory Point Accumulation as found in Gaining Grounds. Schemes may only be used once each during the weekend. Strategies will be assigned each round.
This is not just another tournament. Like most of the lock-ins for 40k, this will be something different. Yes, prizes will be handed out. And there will be competition, but there will be a story being told during the night through the games. And, with the way the strategies will be set up, you can still come out on top, even if you take a beating early on. This will be a tale told in true Malifaux style. Dark and twisted. Characterful lists are encouraged (not hard in malifaux.)
If enough people show up, there will be a prize for painting, but painting will not effect overall standings.
Feel free to direct questions my way. There may be more information to come.

Hey Gabe,
I had an idea for a crew for this game & wanted to run it by you first. It's going to be a guild crew. However I want to use ressurectionist models as I have the Dead Justice box set from GenCon last year. My models would be as follows:
Dead Justice set (Dead J, Judge, 3 Death Marshalls) Guild Autopsies == Guild Guard Canine Remains == Guild Hounds Nicodem == Austringer Vultures == Wathcers Lawyers == Lawyers (They're creepy enough)
I'll add more as I think of them and again this is all pending approval. If anyone has other ideas what I could run please let me know.

I'm all for it. Especially for an event like this it'll be cool to see zombie justice. That is as long as Dorian shows up in them with a zombie costume.

I've got no problem with it. Like I said, I want character for this event. Fun lists. Themed. That sort of thing.

Saturday is fast approaching. I have a number of people who have said they will be there. Always looking for more people. Let's make this good.

Thank you:
-To Gabe for organizing a fun event that was a riot to play in, even on 3 hours of sleep!
-To Travis, Rob and the Millennium staff for hosting our event.
-To all the players who showed, even the ones from Buffalo who can't tell time! ( Remember Wings for Doug the next time you are late!)
-To my son for stopping by and hanging out!

I would also like to Thank everyone for coming out. This was officially our largest event yet. Great turnout, good fun, and some ideas for improving the concept for future events.

Glad I saw you guys there... wasn't sure there was anyone actively playing in the area. It's been a while for me, I played a few games when things first got started, but that was it, never been competitive with it. What is play like these days?

Pretty nice. We had a league going on for awhile every Tuesday but it's nearing the end. Other then that we have a fairly wide spread coverage of factions & many players are starting to branch out into their second master / faction now that we all have a feel on the rules from the league.
