Monthly tournaments in the carolina area seem to follow the meta moreso than back in the Roc, with the guys form the 11th Co, and 3++ and the locals such as All-American gamers, etc we have a well rounded core of players and generally play non comped player scored tournaments, usually avoiding the mass of pissing contests like i see on most forums arguing over rulings, scoring, bias etc... I digress, recently we all experienced the meta breaking cron hotness, nd how stupid strong Imhotek combined with tremorstaves and writhing worldscape is..here goes the list that won locally..i dont even think grey knights made it a full game with this army, my orks got beaten pretty good by it..
Imhotek 2 crypteks-tremrstaves 1 cryptek-solar pulse Overlord-barge, scythe, mindshackle 3 lords-res orb, scythes Ctan-writhing worldscape, lord of fire
10 immortals-tesla 10 immortals-tesla 8 immortals-gauss
3 scarabs 3 scarabs 3 scarabs
2 spyders-prism claw array 2 spyders-prism
may not look like much, but it worked to devestating effect...i didnt like taking dangerous terrain checks every time i moved...or getting murdered by imhoteks storm and stff

How ofter were you taking Dangerous Terrain from the Tremorstaves? During Movement? When you were running? Assaulting as well?

Tremor staves only effect the following movement phase right.

Basically yes, but I find that most people forget that and get destroyed by TremorCrons the first time they play them as a result.
Truthfully I don't see anything in this list that Grey Knights would have any problem with Psycannons should have the C'Tan off the table turn 2 with no problems. That and there aren't enough scarabs to actually cause issues to armor. I literally have no idea what this list does against a land raider with or without a dozer blade.

... Or a NDK with a teleporter, or another necron list with 12+ wraiths. I can pretty much guarantee that list would get destroyed up here.
If you avoid terrain, on 2 tremor shots can even effect you and they can miss often.
Nobody could beat a few scarabs, kamikazee lord, and ctan in assault? Nobody could stand up to str5 shooting?

This seems really bad, No pocket-watch to re-roll the night fight, secondly he kinda just blows esp since hes just walking forwards with8 immortals...
I could see this working with maybe 2 more tremor stave's, and also orikan....
Funny thing is the worst enemy to this army is thunder fires and whirlwinds.
Like what was your ork list. lootas would go into the c'tan, then the scarabs, plus i don't see how your losing combat

I don't want to exactly call this list bad, but it definitely has conflicting goals.
The Tremors are range 36", but Imotekh protects your opponent from the Staves. Also, it only has one vehicle (single surfboard lord) and seems really really slow. I am not sure you even need to move past midfield against this list.
Not to mention I have no idea how to kill tanks (other than scarabs and the Lord) with the army. Doing so in the assault phase for a shooting army is a bad idea.
