So after thinking about what you guys said about Marines needing to be a standoff and shoot army I've come up with this list...let me know what you guys think and what you might change.
HQ: [200] Lysander
Elites: [460] Terminator Squad, 10x; 2x Cyclone Missile Launchers
Fast Attack: [100] Attack Bikes; 2x Multi-Melta’s [90] Speeders; Typhoon Missile Launcher
Troops: [220] Tactical Squad 10x; Powerfist, Combi-Plasma, Plasma, Plasma Cannon [205] Tactical Squad 10x; Powerfist, Flamer, Lascannon [220] Tactical Squad 10x; Powerfist, Combi-Melta, Melta, Lascannon
Heavy Support: [100] Thunderfire Cannon [120] Predator w/ Lascannon Sponsons [135] Devastator Squad, 3x Missile Launchers

Lysander goes with the Terminators, effectively making their Storm Bolters Twin-Linked with his Bolter Drill rule. The army has 9 Missiles, 4 lascannons, and a bunch of other stuff.

With all the foot infantry, you're gonna want more mobility for contesting and such.
I would drop the devs, bikes, and predator for a couple storm talons just for the models if nothing else.

I would suggest you drop 5 of the termies and use the 230 points to flush out the shooting-
Add a 2nd typhoon-90 Add an auto cannon Dread- 115 (I think) Give the 3 tac squads razorbacks- 120 + Add another ML to the Devs, or give them some red shirts Make a Squad of Sternguard (PF, 4 combs, rhino)-230 Add a libby-100 ish
I know what you're trying to do with the termies, but I think lysander plus 5 would get the whole "area denial/ big game hunter" unit across just fine

Chris came over and we played two different games (first one being KP's, the 2nd game each of us having an objective and the first HQ down).
Here is the list that I ended up running:

Elites: [345] Sternguard Squad, 10x; Power Fist, 2x Combi-Flamer, 2x Combi-Melta [200] Terminator Assault Squad, 3x TH/SS, 2x Lightning Claws
Fast Attack: [100] Attack Bikes; 2x Multi-Melta’s [115] Assault Squad; 5x, Lightning Claw
Troops: [220] Tactical Squad 10x; Powerfist, Combi-Plasma, Plasma, Plasma Cannon [205] Tactical Squad 10x; Powerfist, Flamer, Lascannon [210] Tactical Squad 10x; Powerfist, Melta, Lascannon
Heavy Support: [100] Thunderfire Cannon [150] Devastator Squad, 4x Missile Launchers
While the list IS very low on mobility it was insanely fun to play. Putting Lysander with the ten sternguard was fun as hell. His "Bolter Drill" rule combined with the sternguard's special ammunition was a insanely brutal...you're either rapid firing the posioned rounds and wounding on a 2+ or your are rapid firing the AP3 rounds and not really worrying about overheating since you re-roll the 1's. Because the unit also has base 2 attacks it's also pretty nasty in CC.
I've been so used to playing 10 assault terminators I had forgotten that even 5 can be brutal. That unit killed warriors, 3x spiders, and a Necron Lord 4 times...yes, you read that right. COURTNEY AND HIS d**nED 5+ ROLLING got his dead lord up 4 times.
When talking about the game afterwards I we were thinking it would be cool to pull one of the tactical squads and get some scouts in there, maybe with a storm so they could easily outflank.
