Anyone else notice that guard are pretty much the only ones with reliable anti air?

Daemons have Monstrous Creatures that can Vector Strike air units.
Otherwise...yes? I expect this to change with the CSM codex and a white dwarf addition.

well, any army that has fliers has anti-fliers, so dark eldar, marines, and orks all look fine for shooting down fliers. sorry other armies

According to the Rule Book missile Launchers now have another type of round they can fire called a flakk round that has the sky fire special rule. If that is the case then that solves all the marine codexs right there. Cyclones and Typhoons dont have it though

From what Ive seen no armies currently have access to Flakk Rockets. I expect in upcoming codexes we will see them, a la Chaos Space Marines. It seems strange that they add the new type of rocket to the Rulebook but dont FAQ any codex to have access to it.

It is a business solution. Get everyone to buy a crap load of fliers because nothing can shoot them down except for flyers then 2 years later introduce new weapons and vehicles that can shoot them down...only to sell more stuff heh.

well, most fliers are expensive and have paper thin armor. The odds of a TL AC shooting down an AV10 flier are about the same as the odds of killing a Chimera or other AV12 vehicle.
If anything, this edition might prompt more multi-shot heavy weapons because of their dual role at anti infantry and anti flier.
