Out of curiosity are there any actual requirements to being a Moderator on this forum or were straws drawn a long time ago?
I agree that Ben should have said what he had to say here where every one involved could see it, but Flame Baiting doesn't make you the better person.

Really? When did this forum become highschool drama... are we going to start talking about how becky went out with billy and jingled his bells at the drive in? Cuz if you want Ron i can post something in facebook along those lines. I haven't posted anything in this topic nor will i cuz this edition is 3 fuĀ¢<ing weeks old. I want a sampling size longer than a 1960s nasa mission. So yes i posed a comment making fun about how grown men are handling themselves on a public forum about plastic figs ( and if that hurts your feelings because 40k is your only source of social interaction outside of a monitor and keyboard then i'm ... oh wait i dont care) and yes im "taking" aaron side since all he did is ask a question that was ask a tournament then had about 15748 people shout there answers. Oh and he knows how to take a joke. And before the " you weren't there"... your right i was drinking my face of the night before. So grow the f**k up. And get out of highschool Any questions or do i need to say this in person... Peace.

No offense to anyone, as im not going to agree or disagree with anyone, first of all: the female doging from grown men is rediculous, there is absolutely no need for it, this is over a minature war game..a game, is it really so serious as to lower yourself to any level of immaturity in order to get a point across or have things your way? Rather than having a grown discussion, this has turne into a thingy measurement over plastic figures that we line up and play pew pew with...seriously great hobby but ITS NOT THAT SERIOUS You guys had a great community of gamers, step away from the keyboards and meet in person and fight or something because there is just too much tension...also do you think that arguments liek this may have an effect on your turnouts? hell do you think new guys want to get involved if they stumble on this site and read this garbage? You guys have an outstanding store to play at, with a large playing area and fantastic selection. You have consistent tournaments You all play a fun wargame So shut the hell up fpr christ sake Not every army is going to have a fair game against everyone else, its the nature of the game, should someone always have tons of cover versus heavy shooting for their hordes? No theirs a reason why shooting is their weakness. Accept that the game isnt as playtested as the much more competetive oriented Warhammer Fantasy (way bigger overseas) or like travis pointed out: MTG. There are always going to be balance issues, accept it and move on, if im playing necrons versus 200 orks do i think he needs 2342342 trees and hills on the board, hell no, not every little bug or ork, or marine etc needs a d**n cover save, if your book has inherant weaknesses so be it , it is your choice to play it after all so stop female doging. Play the game, and stop complaining, k thanks No hard feelings, and by no means was i directed that towards anyone in particular, but clean up the act and play for fun, none of you are going to make a living out of playing warhammer, and by no means is anything that goes on with the game life or death so chill, take a step back, and realize the game isnt always going to be fair, games workshop doesnt care, they only care that you buy their plastic little soldiers

The following has nothing to do with 40k as I have already said my deal with the rules set. Instead it is in regards to acting as an adult.
The high school drama stems from talking to people saying one thing to your face then turning around and saying another completely opposite to others. Thats called hypocracy and being two faced.
Again people should take thier own advice on this.
I do not understand the need to constantly bash one person on your other board. I find this not only childish but repulsive and it shows very poor character for those that supposedly are representing a gaming organization/store. Does it make you feel like tough men to go behind ones back and talk about them? Does this sasiate your need to fill your egos? Or boost your self esteem? I suppose you are right perhaps it may have been a little 'high shcoolish' of me to post that, but I find it the same the way your all are handling it and have some loyalty toward my friends when they are being verbally attacked.
As for moderator, there is only one moderator of the entire board and he has total control. I have privledge in the Flames of War section of the board which was added at my request. I am more than happy to relinquish that title if it threatens you or any others. Had I been moderator of this board this topic would have been locked or deleted a long time ago. My personal opinion.
Here is an idea. How about laying off the insults and behind the back talking and discuss the topic at hand? Is that really to hard to acomplish?
Any other requests, comments or questions IM me or if you desire say it to my face, becuase this 'stuff' Really isn't helping the scene at all.

Yep, I don't particularly like Skythe and Chumby was not my favorite either, not so much because of the person that he is but because of the playstyle he promoted. Funny, the only playstyle I promoted was having fun and not attacking the other person for having fun a different way. I always promoted playing evenly matched armies also, regardless of the power level. I just never specified what that power level should be. I called you out on your constant attacks on people who liked to play differently than you wanted to play. Of course, this thread is no different. You can't have a disagreement without resorting to an attack on the other person.

Food for thought... www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/463341.pageAndy +1 on the pic Skythe You're slipping, it took you almost a day to reply. Jeremy and Ron +1 for both of you. Well said. Joe and Kevin -1000 for both of you. Your interest in Billy's jingly bells is downright disturbing.

An interesting read. Nice to know we are not the only ones having this sort of discussion. Sheds some light on the topic.
I happen to agree with the idea of playing it out as is and see what happens. I dont think there has been enough conclusive evidence to claim one rule/option is unfair over another or the need to start modifying rules.
That said we should get out there and play more games, I will be at Boldos sunday. Enjoy!

The ONE rule I might agree on immediately discounting for tournaments is the deployment type that runs long ways across the board.
Its very hard to get to the other side of your deployment zone without walking to the other side of the table, and in a tournament environment, that can be very annoying.

No Steve, no.
Don't you know you can't push your personal agenda on us without a poll?
As a skinny guy with bisexual urges, I welcome that deployment. It gives me a chance to work on my tumbling as I duck and roll under the table and come up in my opponent's personal space.
