I was having a discussion with another individual who has started to play the Dreadknight. He has been using him as strength 10 due to the doomfists. I know in the previous faq it was ruled that as he is not a walker he is only strength 6 and does not gain the benefit of the doomfists. This portion of the faq was removed from the most recent 6th ed faq. I haven't had a chance to check the rulebook under the monstrous creature/walker/weapon descriptions but what is everyone elses thoughts?

At least to me, it seems clear the intention was to allow it to take a piece of wargear that doubles its strength, so in that vein, it should count as str 10.
I would play it that way myself.

Str10 now I also believe.
I think the new book just says "models equipped with... Double str".
*edit* My bad, it's not even discussed.
Str x2, ap2, melee
In theory even infantry could use it now if any had the option to buy one. There's only 3 lines of fluff and the stats. p60.
