Hey Everyone, just wanted to give everyone the information on the July Team Tournament. If you have any questions, please let Bryan or myself know.
Event Information:
July 20th
Location: Game Corps (2920 Buffalo Road, Wesleyville, PA 16510)
Entry Fee: $30 per team (2 players per team)
Time: Registration & Setup will begin at noon, Round #1 to begin at 1:00pm
General Information:
• The Warhammer 40,000 6th Edition rules will be used.
• 2 Players per team, each with an army consisting of 1,250pts.
• Each player will have their own Force Organization Chart.
• Both players on the team may each take a Fortification if they wish.
• Allied Detachments will not be allowed for this tournament, due to players already technically having an ally.
•Teams must use the Allied Matrix for their armies.
•To allow Players using the Tyranid Codex to have a partner, Tyranid Players may be teamed up with the following armies as “Desperate Allies”:
- Chaos Space Marines, Chaos Daemons, Tau, Dark Eldar, Necrons,& Orks.
• Teams wishing to use the same codex for both players may do so with the following guidelines:
- The two armies will function as “Battle Brothers.”
- The two armies may not include the same “Unique” Characters.
- Any special rules and/or bonuses granted by characters or units do not confer to the other army. (This does not include the Warlord Trait).
-Example: If both players are running Codex: Grey Knights, and Player A’s army includes Lord Draigo, Player B’s army does not gain his “Lord of Titan” bonus.
• In the main rule book, it states under the "Allies" section that units taken as desperate allies are non-scoring and non-denial. Please disregard that rule for this tournament. Both players on a team may capture & control table quarters in mission #1 and capture & control objectives in mission #3.
• Games Workshop data sheets may not be used for this event.
• All players must have the following to participate:
- Army List
- Codex(s)
- Any additional rules and/or FAQ’s
Additional Information:
• Please make sure that all models in your army are easily identifiable to your opponent. Counts as models may be used, but your opponent must be made aware as to what the unit is.
• Power Weapons – In any case where a model is armed with one or more Power Weapons, you must model the weapon to the appropriate type (sword, axe, maul, lance, etc…). Also, in your army list, it must be noted what Power Weapon type the model is equipped with.
• Warlord Traits – Each team will decide one HQ choice to represent both armies to be the Warlord. To determine the Warlord result, refer to the Warhammer 40,000 6th Edition rulebook on page 111.
- If one player has a model who's rules state that it must be the Warlord, this model must be used.
- If both players have a model with this style of rule, randomly determine the Warlord via dice roll off.
Forgeworld:
• Forgeworld units and/or army lists will be allowed at the tournament.
• Restrictions (the following are not allowed):
- Units/Models with Structure Points
- Gargantuan Creatures
- Strategic Assets, Stratagems, etc…
- Formations
- Units labeled as “Apocalypse Only”.
• If you are using a Forgeworld unit(s) and/or army list, you must have all of the rules & faq’s for them with you.
• If you are using a Forgeworld unit(s) and or army list, there must be actual Forgeworld rules for the entry. Not Experimental Rules!
•If you are running any Forgeworld units in your army, you must have the actual Forgeworld model. If there is no model from Forgeworld, an acceptable WYSIWYG conversion will be allowed.
Fortifications:
• All of the Fortifications listed in the Warhammer 6th Edition Rulebook are allowed.
• The regular terrain on the tables is fixed in position at the start of the tournament. Fortifications placed on the table may not be within 3” of another piece of terrain. If you are unable to place your Fortification in such a fashion, it may not be deployed for that game.
• If you are running any Fortification in your army, you must have the actual Fortification model or an acceptable WYSIWYG conversion of the Fortification that is the same dimensions as the model it is representing. Also any conversions must be approved by the Tournament organizer prior to the event.
Again, if you have any questions, please let us know. Hope to see you there.
