August 24th 2013 Warhammer 40k Mirror Match Rules:
General Information:
The Warhammer 40,000 6th Edition rules will be used.
All players will be using the same 1,500pt army list. (Refer to the Army List sheet).
All players must have the following to participate:
- Army List (provided)
- Rulebook
- Codex (If you do not have a Space Marine Codex, someone at the tournament should be able to provide you with the required rules).
Schedule:
12:00pm to 12:30pm Registration / Setup
12:30pm to 2:10pm Round #1
2:10pm to 3:00pm Lunch Break
3:00pm to 4:40pm Round #2
4:45pm to 6:25pm Round #3
6:30pm to 8:10pm Round #4
General Rules:
Cheating will not be tolerated. Cheating affects the quality of the experience for all of the players & creates a significant disruption for everyone involved in the tournament. Proof of cheating will lead to forfeiture from the tournament without refund and possible ban from future events.
Quitting will not be tolerated. Quitting affects the quality of experience for all of the players & creates a significant disruption for everyone involved in the tournament. If a player decides to leave/quit a tournament early for any illegitimate reason, no refund will be proved and that player will not be allowed to participate in the following month’s tournament.
Army Rules:
Although every player will be using the same army list, players will be able to decide how they wish to run the army:
- Deployment: Players may choose to deploy or reserve units as they wish (following the reserve guidelines on page 124).
- Dedicated Transports: Players may choose what unit (Tactical Squad #1, Tactical Squad #2, Devastator Squad #1) goes with what dedicated transport (Rhino, Drop Pod), or if they wish to run the transport empty.
- Units: Players may choose to combat squad units (where applicable) as they wish.
- Independent Character: Players may choose what squad their captain is joined to.
- Warlord Traits: As described on page 111 of the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook.
Terrain:
Player set terrain will be used for this tournament. Please refer to the “Alternating Terrain” section of the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook on page 120.
Players will have 10 minutes at the beginning of each round to setup terrain.
