New rules for a new season...Special Characters are allowed!!!
It's time you started playing with the big boys, that means if a special character is in the codex, then maybe you should consider playing against it. After all, I see no good reason why you are so afraid of special characters. Is it because you might actually have to think out of the box and come up with new ways to play your army? Most special characters with few exceptions are priced in line with what they are capable of doing. There is a reason that Abbadon is the price of a landraider, but there are also tactics that one can use to beat him as well. You hate special characters but love armoured company ( a special non-codex list), contradiction??? Hmmmm...
What I am saying is this, the standard Dragon challenge is tired and old. If you want a piece of me this season, you might have to come to the realization that special characters do exist in the 40K universe and in the game. Special characters will be allowed at our GT ( I believe), they are allowed at standard GTs and most rogue traders, so I believe it is time for you to accept this part of the game and embrace it. That being said I look forward to smacking you around in the next few months.

Major S.O.B. Thy proper response is ‘Sir Dragon (aka Stephen), I shall accept thy challenge If & only if my special character is allowed to play. What say thee: YA or NA? OR I RESPONED: IT’S MY CHALLENGE AND I’LL DO WHAT I WANT TOO, DO WHAT I WANT TOO, DO WHAT I WANT TOO. ;D ;D ;D If a challenge is not accept on Thursday nights, we just get together. and form a game with whom ever shows up by 7:00 pm and try to include everyone one way or another. I will be happy to accept your challenge sunday, but on the condition that special characters MAY be included. I understand why you don't play a deamon prince and a bloodthirter together, but I would say that is your choice. Armies with both characters are just as beatable as those without, so do what you want.(Actually more beatable in some cases since you have tied up alot of points in them). The way I am looking at it is that you are a good player Steven, but you need to graduate from preschool mentality (the Den-"We are scared of special characters") and step into the real world where they exist. Will I play you in this upcoming season, of course, will I bring a special character, maybe, maybe not, but you should prepare your list for that option. It is just as silly to me as someone saying, "I will beat any Eldar player, but no falcons or wraithlords." How about, "I challenge all marine players, but don't take any psychic powers, libriarians or force commander, oh yeah, and since I have trouble with assault cannons leave them home too.." Also, I am rarely free thursdays, but some saturday or sunday I would love to take the challenge.

Major S.O.B.: I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SPECIAL CHARACTERS, I HAVE AT LEAST 3 IN DIFFERENT ARMIES, MOST LIKELY MORE. ALWAYS WELCOME YOUR CHALLENGE MAJOR BUT THIS WEEKEND IS TIGHT, THATS WHY I WANT TO PLAY THIS THURSDAY NIGHT. I BELIEVE SUNDAY THE "COYOTES DEN" HAS A TOURNAMENT AND THEN THEY GO BACK TO EVERY THREE WEEKS, (WILL CHECK). THANKS FOR THE CHALLENGE, I DID TALK TO "THE SHAUN" ABOUT THE RETURN OF THE "FIRST OF THE MONTH TOURNEY'S, AND RECOMMENDED MAKING THEM SECOND WEEK OF THE MONTH. THAT WOULD BE MORE CONSISTENT WITHOUT HOLIDAY INTERFERENCE. AND "IRON WARRIOR" YOUR A$$ KICKING IS LIMITED!  ;D ;D "SEE YA THURSDAY NIGHT!' P.S. I am all for starting the first of the month tourney again in November, after Toronto and our GT are over. Until then I think we need to concentrate on those events.
