Last Sunday there was some talk about that. Some of us came up with the Idea of a Xenos - ish theme for a few weeks.
No Marines/Chaos/Sisters/Grey Nights (those armies with 3/2+ saves)
Exception would be Necrons because they are Xenos. Imperial Guard or Guard based Inquisitors (no allies from above restricted list). Same with Lost and the d**ned.
You can have models with 3/2+ saves but it cannot be the majority of the army.
That was an idea thrown around on sunday. I liked it. Tom/Doug also had some ideas on this as well. perhaps they will post.

"Xenos",I like this idea! All new to me! That leaves me with: Armour Company, Tyranids, Necrons and Eldar. Three Questions! 1) Armour Company allowed? YES or NO 2) Almost all "Necrons" have 3+ saves except: Scarabs 5+, Nightbringer 4+ & Deceiver 4+, so they will always have the majority in 3+ saves, so what do I do? 3) I like the estimated point total so I can figure what to play, and how to pack it for transport? Thanks for the info Ron, I'm actually bringing one of these armies Thursday night. Who ever is The Self Proclaimed Leader Of Xeons Wars, feel free to move this topic else ware so it's not lost or start a "NEW THREAD" with details. ;D ;D ;D CIAO! |

I think an every other month tournament format like we had a few years ago would be better than every month. People get burnt out on tournaments and stop showing up when they are every month.
I think the tournaments used to alternate between fantasy and 40k...

I like the alternating idea. It's espescially nice for those of us who play both. (Not that I've been playing much at all lately, but I am hoping to fix that soon.) A theme is not a bad idea, but it shouldn't be an all the time thing. Perhaps we could also combine it with some sort of league idea. You have your standings for the day, and they would also effect your total standings for the year. Just a thought to be thrown into the mix.

Not exactly a Thursday night challenge, but any tournament concept is fine with me for Sundays. Anything that creates more players, rejuvenates others and re-units the group is a positive deal. We have multiple groups right now: 1) Thursday night only 2) Sunday only 3) Thursday & Sunday's 4) New players 5) MIA's 6) Special events only Nothing negitive here, it'just where people are in their lives right now. "AND LETS NOT FORGET: WE STILL NEED TO DEAL WITH SOME COYOTE PUPPIES!" ;D ;D ;D CIAO! |
