I have been building a sisters/Guard list for awhile. I have had good success with it so far. I got through the process of getting a list that works good and want to fine tune it now, as well as paint it. I am about a little over half way painting.
1850 Sisters HQ Conness w/ litanies of hate, powersword, BP HQ Priest w/Evis T 10 sisters w/ 2x Storm Bolters w/Vet, Powersword. T 10 sisters w/ 2x meltaguns w/Vet, Powersword in Rhino E 8 Celestians w/HFlamer, Flamer, Imag w/Vet, Evis in Rhino F 10 Dominions w/4x Flamers, Imag w/Vet, Evis in Rhino H 10 Retributors w/4x Heavy Bolters w/Vet Guard 2x Command Platoons w/ Missle Launchers T 3x 10 Squads w/Lascannons T 2x 10 Squads w/Missle Launchers H Leman Russ BT w/3xHB and Extra Armour
It works out to 7 faith points. This amount of Faith points is usually just enough or too little. I have been thinking about adding in another Cannoness. I usually play 2 at 2000 with good success. I was thinking of turning the Russ into an Exorcist and merging the 2 guard platoons into one, thereby dropping the 2 nd command squad. This would give me enough points for another cannoness with a Powersword and book of st Lucius. She would probably just stand among the guard making them ld 10, this would also boost my faith to 9.
My only reservations are that I have never used a Exorcist before. They seems a little too fragile when compared with the Russ. The lack of more than one weapon is deterring me from taking it.
My generally strategy is to shoot the crap out of the big things with Guard and use the sister to shoot the crap out of the infantry. I use the rhino mounted sisters as mobile counter assault. I usually team the Cannoness and priest up with the Celestians. There is not much they can not take out. Against tough units I break out the litanies to make them invun. and then boost there str. There is not much rerell evis and a str5 powersword can't take on.
Opinions?

Jeff, I can't say I am crazy about the list and here is why...
1) Personally, if you want to plat Sisters, then play Sisters, if you like Guard play Guard, I don't really like the look of the comibined army, but again that is just a fluff thing for me.
2)You mentioned the Exorcists, it is a great tank, fairly durable also. Yeah the d6 shooting is quirky, but if you take two they generally survive and can wreck most armor on the board. Best strategy I found was starting behind cover and moving into it with help of a dozer blade. Take extra armor on they generally will fire all game.
3)Try a smaller mounted squad of dominions with meltas if you are looking for tank hunting. Bulk up the Sisters numvers and with that amount of troops with bolter fire you can take down most everything. This also will help you get some more faith points as well.
4) Use the Book of St Lucius. It is 5 pts and give the squad unmodified leaership on tests, well worth it! Take one per squad.
5) Matt plays Zealots found in Chapter Approved in an older White Dwarf. It is a cheap squad that you can hide 4 evicerators in, makes an assualting oppenent have to do some thinking.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for the response. There were two reasons why I chose this list. I was actually drawn to the list awhile ago when I lived in SC. I brought my 1kSons to a Rt down there. I nearly got the donkey poop kicked out of me with a similiar list played by a 12 year old. There were a lot of the area's best players at the tourney including two Atlanta GT winners. The only list that gave me trouble was the little kids. He had a lot of the funky stuff like Arco's, inquistors, and assains. The core of his army was 1/2 guard 1/2 sisters. It suprised me how resistant and well played it was. The kid came in 3rd or 4th overall. The other is its an all metal list and I already have a metal SL guard army, and a couple of sisters, so its not as heavy on the wallet as an all sisters army (which I eventually want to get to). I am willing to give the exorcists a try . I have played against Jay's army a couple of times and the Exorcist has always performed well. I have one and I might proxy another and give it a try. I have seen lists on other sites that say take 3 all the time. There is merit to it but it seems a little uncompy. The only hesitation I have is that it has been my experience with the list is that the Russ draws more fire power directed at it than it should and it is still dangerous after it looses its main weapon. I would rather have my oponents firing at an AV14 Russ than my Rhino's, its only 20 pts more. The 4 Flamer dominon squad has performed very well for me and is one of my favorite squads. I usually use the kill on 6's faith with them. I have been using them as a suprise anti-infantry counter punch. When assault marines or similiar get up close. If the rhino has not moved they get out shoot and kill a couple and then get in hth with the Evis and finish things off. getting up close with the rhino and deploying out and rapid firing with the kill on 6's and the flamers usually thin's out most 3+ saver's. I do not really like the storm bolter squad they are there to take bullets and provide fluff with the sister holy trinity of weapons thing. The Book of St. Lucius idea is good. It would only cost 25pts to my list. I played the zealots once with a full squad and 4 evis. they got torn apart by a bunch of marines in hth. I might have to give them a try again. I was thinking of using them when I turn my force into a full sister force.

Glad you liked my response Jeff. Thinking it over, Sisters might not look so bad on the table coupled with the new Vostroyians, but I have seen them taken with Cadians and they don't look like a cohesive force to me. Also remeber that the 3+ power armor save that the Sister armor gives is a bargain at 13pts compared to the guard's armor save. I would stay with 2 Exorcists since the heavy bolter Retributors are tough to give up when adding a third. I agree there is alot of difference in play between an armor 13 and 14 vehicle, and your tactic for using the Russ to draw fire seems logicall as well. Throw a stormbolter on the Exorcist and if the main gun is blown off, pull it back behind cover and sit out the game for full victory points. Arcos are fun but expensive points wise. They draw alot of firepower but usually only make it into HTH half the time, 240 points sometimes is too expensive for a throwaway squad that catches bullets. Inquisitors are OK but something I rarely use, only benefit I see is getting a psychic hood for the army. Assassins again are fun but again hit and miss for affectiveness. As for the Zealots they are not real good against marines in HTH except by providing numbers and bodies for the space marines to kill. They are good against vehicles especially dreadnoughts since they have plenty of bodies to absorb wound then swinging with 4 evicerators aint too bad!
