I'd like to hear how they do.
I had an idea I wanted to try out awhile ago but haven't yet, 1kSons evil deathwing army. Take 3 9 1kSons terminator squads 2 packs of horror's. A lord with a disc or bike and a t-homer and personal icon or a lord in Terminator armour.
It could be run like the demonbomb list.

Since we're on ther subject of terminators, I'm curious as to how you plan on making them into models. Personally I think 1k sons has a clean enough look where you could use the new plastic termies and with the right amount of embellishments, they would look absolutely killer...literally of course

I haven't decided what I am doing for terminators. There is a rumor on Warseer that by the end of the year they might have plastic chaos termies. That would rock...
You are right about the TS being a cleaner look than most chaos, so I might be able to get away with the new marine ones. I bought the TS heads as bits, so I can have them. We'll have to see how it turns out.

I made one it's alittle bit of work though.
All it took was a choas terminator and a 1kson head.
Here's how if interested;
I jeweler sawed the 1ksons helmet part off so all that remained was the headdress. I then filed what remained of the back of the helmet to be flush with the head piece.
Take the terminator body and saw back about 2cm from right above the crest of where the t-helmet fits. Then pin the headress in to the body. Then green putty the gaps and make the headress flush with the armour where it was filed down.
I pinned the arms on either side but slanted them out a little bit so they looked more like the new terminator in motion. I puttied pins over to look like armour connection points and bulked out the shoulderpads a little with putty to cover it up.
It's a little bit of work but it turned out better than I thought. Only 8 more to go! I think I work on them some more this weekend.

I would bet that you will see plastic chaos termies very soon. I think the chaos terminator lord tipped GW hand. I also recently have seen a squad a chaos termies on CMON and eBay by Alexi Z (Natalyia Melnick) that might be prereleases that she has painted. I could contact here and find out if you really care. Still I agree with James that converting the plastic marine termies is the way to go. The metal ones are OK, better is you put them on large bases, but the newer ones are the best. Now if they weren't $50 a box...

Well I had my first game last Thursday. I played dragon with his IW. Just about the worst army I could have faced. They just stand and shoot while I walk(slowly).
Anyway I missed a draw by a about 100 VPs, but it was a learning experience.
I used big bird very badly and got him killed without doing a thing. He just charged up and didn't get into HtH, so the whole IW army fired on him. Lesson learned: Never do that again.
The Termies were tough as nails and only got to below half on the last turn of the game. I really like that squad. Especially with Bolt of Change to punch some armor.
The other 3 squads were very resilient, but neve made it where they needed to be. I only lost 1 ful squad when the game was over though, so I guess it wasn't a total loss. The GoC squad didn't get anywhere near my opponent to use it. I should have just started spawning my own guys... :-)
The flamers had a horrible deep strike and never really showed their shooting prowess. The got widdled down and eventualy killed.
Over all I would like to play it again against a less shooty army and see how they do. It was fun, but I think I might be adding Rhinos in the near future.

That's not bad against Iron Warrior's. They are a hard army to play against, especially like you said when your ground pounding it. It's good to hear the Termies worked good, I might have to giv'em a try soon myself.
With GOC the Rubic Marines are immune to it, but you can use it on your thralls or the casting champion.

I HAD A HARD TIME FIGURING OUT WHAT I WAS PLAYING AGAINST WITH SANGY. HE HAD TO MANY MODELS THAT WERE MIS-REPRESENTED, NO BIG DEAL. I WOULD NEVER NEAR 9 TERMINATORS WITH 17 WOUNDS. POOR DICE ROLLS FOR BOTH OF USE MAD IT A LONG NIGHT. I NEVER EVEN USED MY H.Q.TERMINATOR SQUAD OTHER THAN SHOOTING COMBI-BOLTERS AND ANOTHER SQUAD THAT NEVER FIRED A SHOT. THAT'S 403 points I DIDN'T REALLY USE. "SO FAR DRAGON'S "IRON WARRIORS" ARE 7 WINS & 0 LOSES." "KHORNE 5 WINS & 1 LOSE" AFTER THIS WEEK IT'S BACK TO "TYRANIDS" just to practice @ 1850 points for "DABOYZ GT." SORRY ABOUT CAP's, JUST A BAD HABBIT, CIAO!

I was talking about Iron warriors in general, no one in specific, however I cant but help (since you did bring it up) mention you have quite -another- burly army there. Good job, I see you are getting into the WAAC spirit of things. Hope it works out for you.
But me, sangy, tom and a few others have a joke about how cheesy Iron warriors are...and it was in refrence to my IW's.
My T-sons are on the back shelf right now, im in the mood for word bearers at the moment. FYI I play Ahrimans Cult, all marines, no deamons. I also use the Key from CA.

If you're having trouble getting within that sweet rapid fire range to really lay on the hurt, why don't you consider using disks of tzeentch? If you want to stay strictly 1k Sons, disks are both fluffy and useful. Two smallish squads of them might be useful for mucking up your opponent's LOS enough that he'll have to compensate by moving or counter-assaulting, buying time for your real workhorses to start swinging.
I find using large squads of terminators to be quite the logistical challenege. The way you ran them they might have a few issues:
1) I always have problems with Terminators on foot having to deal with dense terrain. Nothing sucks more than seeing that 350 point squad do nothing because they rolled a 2 and a 3.
2) Chaos terminators lack the firepower of Imperials. You haven't taken any Reaper Autocannon, so I don't see how you expect them to "blast something up" when they arrive. You'll be lucky to accomplish much of anything with their shooting. They also don't have any powerfists, leaving the unit as you have it pretty mediocre and none to good at anything. But at least they don't die easily...
3) I think WoC on a squad that will be slogging it is a bad idea. Why not some more Doombolt action instead?
4) If you're dead-set on using terminators, the only reliable way for them to get into assault is to mount them up in a Land Raider. This takes care of a lot of the issues of dense terrain and getting everyone into coherency, although you lose model count. The two lascannons could prove a boon to the list, though.

talk about resurrecting dead posts...wtf? Sangy dont take too much stock in what ellios is saying... one, Thousand termies come in two flavors...2 wounders with no upgrades (save the sorcerer) ie no fists, or reaper autocannons IIRC and the all sorcerer 1 wound variety which can get wholley expensive when you give them powers. I dont like walking termies thats why I deep strike them...they have the rule use it. They are you "Where do I need help" squad. WoC is an excellent power! killes marines and termies on 4+ no armor save. I take it on sorcerers that are with units that will assualt...soften up the unit then charge. No Land raider!! HUGE points sink, something your already way too expensive army does not need! I believe shuan can back me up on this. Termies...either walk them (like thousand sons would do...slow and purposfull like) Or deepstrike them (Like TSons would do to but more magical means like a teleport spell.) Dont take too much stock in what ellios says...after all he is a syracuse player....(heheheh )

[takes out cat'o'nine'tails, proceeding to beat self] Must-not-ow!-give-advice-on-armies-I-don't-know!!!! OW!regardless, I'm not sure of the point cost on disks, hence the *might* but isn't it possible to use them to tie up the enemy? i.e. like scarabs/hormogaunts Valid idea or no? And you know I have a soft spot for Land Raider... [eyes go misty]
