The latest info from GW says rules are as written in the books. I've seen on other forums that Necron destroyers, wraiths etc. can use the turbo-booster rule. Well, this conflicts because the Necron Codex says that they "move as jetbikes" and the rule in the BBB says "Units mounted on jetbikes" Since destroyers are not mounted on jetbikes but move like them do they use the turbo-boosters rule? I've examined the FAQ's and have not found a concise answer.

And of course this is the great English language at work here.
"Counts as" and "Is" are diffrent things of course and GW likes to confuse people.
Counts as means it has the rules of what it counts as...ie.
Moves like a Jet bike, is a Counts as instance, therefore its movement is that like a Jetbike and therefore can turbo boost and ignore terrain they move through, but if they end thier turn in terrain they may have to take dangerous terrain tests.
Now if it were able to recieve the special rule "skilled riders" then this case it would not work because it is not Technically a "jet bike". Nor do they give a +1A or +1T that some (not all) bikes give. Don't confuse this with the Necron Destroyer upgrade that would also give you a counts as instance and a +1T. Similar but not the same. I can see where someone can make that mistake.
Sorry to go on a rant, but I havent done that in a while. To answer your question though, yes it can turbo boost in my logic. Hope that helps.
Thinking about starting a Necron army E?

Found the answer on page 264 of BBB. Destroyer lords, Destroyers, Heavy Destroyers, Wraiths: JetbikesThe chart defines each unit in each respective army. Missed the chart stuck in the back of the book behind the gallery and not near the rules section and yes I am building a necron army.

Just thought I'd throw in my opinion.
Destroyers - turbo boost - ok.
skilled riders? any model with this ability can re-roll dangerous terrain tests... doesn't matter what they are or aren't riding.
Interesting side topic... jet bikes above area terrain... they can't claim benefit from the terrain. What happens if someone charges them? how do we decide who goes first?
oh yeah... don't forget the nodose while playing those necrons.

They are still in area terrain, the fact that you can see them and they can't clam cover for shooting dosen't mean you don't roll to get in to terrain, and if they are higher than 6 inches, it will take 2 turns to get into HTH, assuming your assault is 6 inches.

An assaulty, shooty, mobile wall of necrons. So many necrons the necrons will have necrons with them. The necrons that don't have necrons will wish they had more necrons.
Right now I'm working on the army requirements HQ, 2 troops and when I get those done I'll figure out the rest.

'E ' if you want to try my all Necron army, I can let you use it at the Coyotes Den tomorrow. Sorry for the late post, just got back in town. Out of 35 games, they have only 3 loses. 2 to Colonel Catachan, phased out on turn 6 both times, and once to Kevin @ the Coyotes Den (just a shoot out). Ciao!

Yes, Im sure you heard of it. Its in the marine/chaos codices...maybe even others.
The rule is one sentence long and titled Skilled Riders.
One could argue to the T of the letter, Jump Pack troops do not benefit from this nor do "counts as" instances. But of course thats not the point.
E:
3 monoliths, 2 lords, the rest Warriors = FUN (DO IT!!!!!!)
