Hey,
I have been putting a lot of thought into a Ravenwing force recently and was wondering what you guys thought. My first thought is all Ravenwing and see how that fairs, if it doesn't do well I was going to include a squad of termies by dropping the three speeders.
HQ. Master of the ravenwing on jetbike
T. 6 man squad with powerfist and 2 flamers/ attack bike with heavy bolter/ Landspeeder AC and HB
T. 6 man squad with powerfist and 2 flamers/ attack bike with heavy bolter
T. 6 man squad with powersword and 2 Meltaguns/ attack bike with multi melta
T. 6 man squad with powersword and 2 Meltaguns/ attack bike with multi melta
F. Landspeeder with Typhoon Laucher and Heavy Bolter
F. Landspeeder with Heavy Bolter and Heavy Flamer
F. Landspeeder with Multi-melta
The upside I can see is with combat squads I can break the army down to 17 scoring units which is very useful in certain missions, the whole army with the exception of the three fast speeders always deploy's.
Downside is its a fragile army that has be played properly.
Themewise I know I have repeat squads with the weapons, I cant justfy plasma overheating on a 46 pt model. I think I may take one just for fun. I tried to take one of each land speeder type.
what do you guys think?

I like the list. But i hate to say it, but i think you need more power fists.
I also would add plasma guns, i think they are still work because you almost have to play duck and hide with the army. Meltaguns are to short range.
I think you have to play the army properly. all or nothing. the biggest thing in that army is your speed and tough 5.

I have been thinking more and more about the plasma, I think your right. One squad with meltaguns and two attack bikes with multimelta's should be enough for tank hunting. The range of the plasma gun might be enough to offset the overheat.
You think more powerfists? I could possible squeeze in a third with the points. I didn't want to overboard with the fists. I was thinking of 2 with fists only because if any of the squads are not going to combat squad it would be the powerfist, because of there small squad size.
I have a test game with them on the 26th, I think i'll swap a meltagun squad out to plams.
