My last game was a tourney at the den with my eldar (Before the new codex). After this test, I came up with -2 pts for my purity. Yes, that's a negative sign. Apparently my army was very fluff concious.
Now my last marine force gets roughly a 17.(Haven't looked at it in a while, so I'm not completely sure about this.)

At what point did the number of Troop Choices and % of points in troops become sole factor in determining if an army was built for 'power-gaming' or not?
Edit: My typical SOB army scores about a 5-10 depending on what I take.

If you look closely at this test, I don't think that is the basis for his scores. Yeah, he has sections for that and it does come up first, but in reality, the big points come up in Force org abuse and things like that. Things that I think we around here look at as cheating rather than power-gaming. There was the mention of taking more than one Iron halo, which is expressly against the rules.
As he said, the test is subjective, and out of date. I took it for S&Gs. I do the same thing with any rubric/system/whatever that judges comp just to see how my army choices stack up against other people's opinions. (Have to rethink my choices anyway since my Eldar as is got nerfed by the new codex. Was planning on changing it anway, but I hate having the option taken away from me.)
