I've been curious about this game for a while. Any players out there? I have the "boxed set", minus all the figures. I was cheap, but at least I have one marine (not even a base of them) to get an idea of the scale. I'm looking at either a new 40k army, or an epic army for my birthday.

In 40k if something is off, it can easily be explained in-universe as being because the Warp did it.

Epic 40k doesnt seem to be very popular in this area. I have old epic models and prefer the old rules, but no one else around will play by them.

I've always been interested if someone wants to run a demo, I'd like to take a look. Haggy bring the rules book sometime so we can see the Armies/models.

i have an epic army and was always interested in doing up an army.
I think i would want to recollect the force so i could play tau.
have the last revision of the current Epic, which is as similar to hagbards epic as 4th edition 40k is to rogue trader. (Neet but best forgotten)

quite sure that I have the old rules also. Seems kinda overcomplicated, but would be curious to see the game in action.

I beleive the most recent Epic 40k rules are available online (and I think I downloaded them recently...frikin alzheimers..). I looked at them once and thought it was certainly playable, just not what i was used to so never really tried it (cuz us old people hate change..)
I dont have the original rulebook, just the Ork and Squat Warlord book (basically 2 codexes in one). The rules are not overcomplicated, just a lot of special rules for each army.

Well, schedule a demo game with someone else that knows the rules, or a tutorial. Lets have a look and see if there is interest.
