There was also at least one grey knights player there too. Half his models weren't power armored, so its not a marine army

OK, This was raised by the guys from Eire today, Adepticon allows for a team to bring a non- super heavy forge world model, Now this is normally for a 4 man team, but we have two man teams.
Now this is a "Warm up" event for Adepticon so I would be for it, but under these rules. 1) It must be the forge world model and 2) You must have the Official rules for it, so unit like the Necorn Tomb stalker are a no-go since they don't have "Official" rules (I can't find prof that this is what adepticon does so if they do allow units like this please prove me wrong)
Let me Know how you guys feel about this, Since this event has painting, I'm only giving this till Sat, at that time, i will be a Yes or No from that point forward

so, now my main focus is adepticon. want to get in a bunch of tourny games with 1850 deathwing. Ive gone too many times over the last 7 years underprepared. a few questions
1) march is winter painting league tourney. how is someone that only comes in town for tourneys affected in scoring/ can we even play in tourney. i do have to paint 85% of the models for the army.
2) can I just make an 1850 list and not make sideboards?
3) for april, are troop 1 also?
Just need to know if possible. want to use deathwing for both, if not i need to do different army and have to find some more tournies before end of april.

I shoulda guessed Steve would take top BP's without me there Ben plays really good with other people's armies too. Can't wait to see what he can do with his own lordnurgle ~ I believe the WPL tournament is open to anyone, but painting score will be a huge factor in scoring. You can bring a single 1850pt list, it would effectively be a 1350 list with two identical sideboards.

I wouldn't be so sure aaron... my mech list was NASTY. 12 tanks on the field, all packing lascannons or assault cannons is just sick.

Lol, it was a ork's army it was just smitty army, easy to take from a single source, and steve you have 12 laz cannons a turn....I had a Min of 36 auto cannons a turn possible 108 (and yeah that did happen in all three games, the loota's are going away for a bit) , and that was only 540 points of my army.......
And yeah, I want to get these necrons done, but life is kinda screwing me, moving + new job (Well 99% of the way to a new job)
Lord nurgle, This is where its gonna get weird for you, No you don't need two side boards, but when you build your list you have to build a 1350 one, and a 500 point, one so knowing death wing your gonna get screwed by the restrictions of this format (Maybe). Painting is scored HEAVILY justs as a head up

I would like to vote yes on the using of FW in the team tourney for adepticon warm up, us specifically are using the Land Raider Helios and have both the model and the rules. Thank you guys for having us and showing us another good time, we look forward to February and teaming off yet again.

I vote no to the FW because theres ppl that A) dont have/cant afford FW models. B) arent going to adepticon but want to participate in this tournament. C) It's not adepticon, it's only 2 man and the rules arent the same for the tournament.
Just my thoughts, it will make the playing field uneven for local friendly gamers.

I'm going to vote against it as well, if only because I don't own any forgeworld models, and had I known there was a tournament coming up where I could use them, I'd have gone out and bought a Contemptor dread.
If this tournament was in march, then fine, but as it is I don't have time to go buy any forgeworld stuff, because shipping can take 3-4 weeks by itself.

The rules will follow the Adepticon rules found here: www.adepticon.org/12rules/201240Kteam.pdfThis chart out lines which Forgeworld stuff you are allowed to bring, look for the TT under the event column for what can be used during the team tourney and the next column for who can take them: www.adepticon.org/12rules/201240KIAApoc.pdf **Note if you plan on bring a Forge World/IA unit it must be that model, no proxy's, conversions are case by case submit photos. Also IA stuff is all considered 0-1 as stated in Adepticon rules. You also must bring the rules for that item to show your opponents***So to modify slightly because of it being 2 player teams, each team member can select a force org from the following: (you can not both pick the same org) Option #11-HQ 0-1 Elites 1-3 Troops 0-1 Fast 0-1 Heavy Option #21-HQ 0-2 Elites 1-3 Troops 0-1 Fast 0-1 Heavy Option #31-HQ 0-1 Elites 1-3 Troops 0-2 Fast 0-1 Heavy Option #41-HQ 0-1 Elites 1-3 Troops 0-1 Fast 0-2 Heavy If you have any question about this format please PM me.

I'm voting yes on allowing FW models to be used in the tournament.
1) The mentality behind the team tournament is that it is meant to help prepare the teams going to Adepticon, hence why we are using Adepticon team tournament rules and most likely primer missions. We WILL see FW stuff there and I would like the practice to be legit.
2) You're not going to see crazy off the wall FW models with D weapons. D weapons and models with multiple structure points are not allowed in the team tournament. I don't understand what people are afraid of.
3) I understand people yelling "arggg I can't afford FW stuff that's not fair!" Well...what about the people that did shell out money for FW stuff instead of going out to dinner for a few nights or something? They hardly if ever get the chance to play with their models in the local tournament scene, I say let them do it for once. Again you will not see D weapons. You will not see multiple structure point models. Have fun with it and play against something you otherwise might never see. I for one am sick of seeing the same d**n thing across the board of me day in and day out.
4) This may or may not even be a mute point. Only ONE member of a 4 man team is allowed to bring a FW model. As it stand now my team isn't bringing one, neither is Jay's team. I think the guys from Erie want to use a Land Raider Helios, but that's about it. I personally am not afraid of a Land Raider with a Whirlwind launcher. Even if they brought an Achilles that's still 325 points (before upgrades) out of a 1000 point army. Have at it.
