Sanguniary, play that cheeseball list you posted on the Syrcause site. You will get style points from me for doing that!

Hey Guys,
I peruse your boards quite a bit and from one perspective I thought it was unusual that you would assume that other groups think you are bad. But then again, I got to thinking that our Toledo group has the same thoughts on how people perceive us.
To be honest, I don't see any problems with your group at all. In talking with Shaun and playing against Chris Courtney, I have had nothing but good experiences with the Daboyz group. I have heard good feedback from other Toledo area people too.
Are you guys competitive, sure? My assumption is that 99% of the gaming community that plays at a high level in the game is. It wouldn't be fun otherwise (at least to me). I prefer a solid game where it provides tactical challenges and adaptation.
Talk to ya' later,
Greg

Nice. We've spread our taint westward into Ohio.

We've got a couple people that have given our group a bad rep with other local groups.

Well I didn't observe the Syracuse/DaBoyz problem, so I can't comment on that.
However my buddy nate was scared away from Boldo's for a couple of MONTHS because the first time he showed up he showed up alone and I think played in a 2v2 with Ben AND Tommy. He didn't know the rules and perceived that he was being called an idiot (essentially) when he really just had no idea what was going on.
I think a good rule of thumb is that people have very fragile egos even when they are in the wrong and that we would all do well to tiptoe as best you can around any sort of disagreement. Saying "I don't think that's legal" is better than saying "hey! you *can't* do that! I know you can't!" or worse yet "you're wrong!"
I know this seems like common etiquette but everyone would benefit from reminding themselves of this when not playing against those who have had a chance to build up a tough skin (I.E. all of us at Boldo's)

Craig, I was Nate's partner and I thought we had an enjoyable game. I don't remember anything bad happening during the game other than us losing to Tau. Nate was a good guy and we all enjoyed playing his guard. If you see him tell him there is no ill will and he should grow a pair and return sometime. (Fragile ego my butt, that is just a kinda way of saying someone's a pusssy...LOL)
