Terri, I forgot to put that in my post thanks for reminding me. The Defenders do get to pick table edge and go first, but (im not going to go against game mechanics here) the attackers can sieze the iniative.
Guys dont worry about who you will be facing becuase so far you are all wrong. I reserve the right to choose your opponents being G.O.D. (Games Official Director (or Dictator))
Keep in mind gentlemen, this is a handicapped match for you high ranked people will be put to the test. You know before hand whats coming and probably who you will be playing. Prepare, plan and be ready for a hard fought game. Over all be painted!
See ya sunday.

What you have suggested has been done before and it only adds to slow the game down having to re-tally points as things leave the table or every round having to add up points, to be as simple as possible I will leave it as is. Besides we don't want to complicate things for you Dragon, after all you have a hard time differentiating between dog and god.
Anyways enough with the mission, prepare for your games.
See ya sunday.

First game was Chris and I vs. Orville and his Deffkopta heavy ork list. It was a very one sided fight (obviously) but we were really struggling to get EVERY last ork off the board by the end of turn 5.
Luck definitely favored our side in this game. Orville's dice turned frigidly cold on him, failing to do anything but immobilized and shake my land raider over the course of many penetrating hits. For every time things went south for him, we only seemed to get luckier.
Turn five had a couple highlight moments. My vindicator wiped the freshly arrived and thankfully last deffkopta squad off the board with a single dead on shot. My HQ finally broke free of the land raider Orville had kept penned up by surrounding the access points with Koptas. The Emperor's champion and the squad slammed into the remaining Kopta's while the thunder hammer wielding marshal made the charge into the looted tank and ripped it up.
Major props go to Chris for being an awesome team mate. Our forces complimented each other perfectly. Chris' plasma heavy squads, las cannon predator, and killer death wing force was exactly what the templar needed to cover for them while they charged across the board for the big fights. Also, Chris made some very good moves, essentially feeding his tactical squad to the deffkoptas to open up the LRC so my templar could make the killing blow.
==========
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I was the only person to actually play both sides of this mission. Game two I found myself defending against short bus and brian lillie. Grey knights and Daemons...great. I knew from the set up that there was no way I could win. I was able to distance myself from short bus by making him set up first, but Brian just popped right next to me and it was go time.
There was a certain amount of liberation in the knowledge that I had no real chance though. Because, armed with that information, I just sat back to spewed out verbal abuse for a good two hours. (Fggot) It was therapeutic in a way, and I thank my opponents for being graceful and having a good laugh about the whole thing.
As I expected, it came down to the wire, and my poor venerable dreadnought held on for dear life, the reroll saving it's life at least half a dozen times. Eventually it succumbed, and I lost, but whatever. (Fggot)

It was good to see everyone back after out hiatus during the holidays.
Nice concept Ron. The game went as planned and I expected to be hanging on by a thread. Both you and Gabe played hard and brought it down to a dice roll to end the game. You cant argue with lady luck!
It was good to be back. Ben, your army is coming along nicely. Dacius you better not screw up those marines again! Shortbus I hope you picked your crap up! And Tommy, just as I told you Nurgle stood firm, I didnt need any tricks or Tom-foolery to pull off my draw. We shall once again meet in the field of battle and this time you will not escape the crushing jaws of a chaos victory!

I HAD NO STATISTIC CHANCE WHAT SO EVER!
SALAMANDERS vs. CHAOS MARINES & DAEMONS
DAEMONS IN MY FACE IN ROUND 1 AND CHAOS SHOOTING ME LONG RANGE.
"OTHER THAN SHOWING UP, I MAD NO TACTICAL ERRORS!"
IT TOOK 6 ROUNDS TO PUT ME DOWN, BUT I KILLED A LOT OF STUFF.
THIS GAME WAS 2 1/2 HOURS PLUS.
IT WAS A PLEASURE PLAYING:
BIG "B" (new nickname) & THIN "D" (new nickname)
MY FIRST LOSE SINCE WEEK #1, I'LL TAKE THE 2 points FOR SHOWING UP, AND LEAVE IT AT THAT (brings back memories of the Coyote's Den).CIAO!

Well there was some statistical chance there, what it was Im not sure, but Doug faced the same odds and the same combination of armies (deamons and Marines) and he managed a Draw out of it all. Guess that says alot for Doug then. Good job Doug!

Ahh, could someone explain to me why im a whopping 5% behind people that have the same points as me and have played the same number of games please???!!!
I think we should just use the overall points instead of this percentage system. Why complicate things.
I know what ur going to say tommy, but the point system will help EVERYONE understand things a bit better.
Im not too happy about this at all.

IF WEEK 10 IS THE END, TOMMY HAS ALREADY WON THE TOURNAMENT. YOU CAN STATISTICALLY SAY IT'S NOT OVER, BUT THAT WOULD BE A W.O.W. (WORST ON WORST) SCENARIO.
I DON'T HOW MANY WEEKS ARE LEFT, BECAUSE IT STOPS AT 10.
THE PROBABILITY THAT ANYONE ELSE COULD FINISH FIRST WITHOUT CHANGE THE POINT SYSTEM WOULD REQUIRE 5 MORE WEEKS. SOMEONE WOULD NEED TO GAIN 3 POINTS EACH WEEK, SO IF YOU NEED MORE, YOUR SCREWED.
GOOD LUCK WITH THIS MATH, YOU NEED A MONTE CARLO PROGRAM!
REMEMBER TOMMY NEEDS TO HAVE 2 WEEKS OF 2'S AND ONLY 1 COUNTS THE OTHER IS A THROUGH AWAY WEEK AND DON'T FORGET TO DEDUCT YOUR THROW AWAY WEEK.
THAT'S FUNNY, CIAO! ;D

Thank you for your inaccurate math Dragon because you couldnt be more wrong. Let me enlighten you a little bit since your math is off. If tommy wins both his remaining matches he stands at 68 (-5 for lowest week) = 63 If orville wins the remaining 3 of his games he sits at 66 (-2 for his lowest week) = 64 That would result in a Orville winning. That is of course if tommy wins Ranked matches vs the higher ranks, which I would assume are more competitive players/armies. Assuming Tom loses both his games then this is plenty of opportunity to leap frog orville or for orville to take first. So folks dont let Dragons defeatists comments persuade you otherwise. he is just bitter that he is not near the top. typical of a Canadagua/Fairport player. ;Dx7 Terri That percentage thing is just a statistic for fun to see how many points you scored from the total availble to you at the time. Its not being used to determine the winner but it could be that the person that scores the highest percentage of the points could come out the winner anyways.

If tommy wins both his remaining matches he stands at 68 (-4 for lowest week) = 64 If orville wins the remaining 3 of his games he sits at 66 (-2 for his lowest week) = 64 Almost... except tommy's worst week so far is 5 points not 4
