The Syracuse guys have picked farseerprince. We need to delegate someone to talk for us. Vote here to see who we should have.

OK Doug, get to it. Looks like youve been nominated. But I can help think that this was a really bad way to nominate someone as any yahoo can come in here register and vote....For example...Aughe....

I wouldn't mind doing it another way. We can get together and try to figure it out. There might be enough of you this Sunday to make a decision also. I won't be there, but I can always add my $.02 later.

No problem setting this up. I think sunday and next thursday we need to come to some sort of consensus on a date or weekend to do this. From reviewing the Syracuse boards it looks like April is there target date. We also need to decide on the size of the team as well as a playoff for sending the best players we have. ( I know this may eliminate me and I am OK with that too, more important that we represent well that to have me a playing member) I also liked the concept of having the various armies represented, and I will contact Syracuse and see if this is still their plan as well.

Things to keep in mind. Jungle/City fight terrain, # of players, What types of armies (one of each army seems unreasonable but not impossible) I would request a sunday date (but thats just me) and not the 23rd (thats my B-day)
Comp/Painting scores? Special missions? Place to game? Time/Date? Use (AT LEAST) 25% table covered in terrain (as per BBB) Points per army? Force orgs?
Try and find out if this is going to be a cheese fest from the get go. So that those of us that dont play that way may atleast know what we are stepping into.
Try and find out some of those Doug.

OK I sent a letter to Farseerprince, hopefully this conveys the thoughts i have heard from most of our players...
Chris, From the results of the poll on our site, looks like I am in the lead as contact person to get this tourney moving forward. I think this should be alot of fun since both your club and ours have some of the best players of 40K in the area, maybe even the country. My thoughts on the tourney are as follows:
We were hoping for a date sometime in April. One of our players requested sunday, hopefully that could be a good day for you guys. We could play either at GW or here at Boldo's. If here, we can accomidate about 8 players per team, plus we can stay open as long as it takes, an option GW in Syracuse cant offer. We liked the idea of having various armies represented, to avoid Marinehammer as one of your players put it. We were wondering what your thoughts are on missions, point cost, and terrain (we prefer at least 25% as detailed in the BBB). Should we include comp and painting? I think sportmanship is tough to do since this is a team event. I guess my thoughts on the last few items are as follows. We do wish to have a fair tourney, and I will do my best to have "fair" armies represented from my end here. I hate the "gimmick" armies like the Slannesh siren bomb, the uber Ulthwae farseer squad, Falcons, Falcons, everywhere, just to name a few. Should we ban special characters or do we want to see Tygerius in a rhino oogaa boogaing everything off the table? We would like to see this as a fun tourney where both teams enjoy themslves, not some way for both of us to test out the most wrong and twisted army we can play.
Talk these ideas over and get back to me with what you come up with tis weekend. We will probably try to come up with some sort of playoff internally so that we are only sending an 8 man team, what do you think.
Again, take care and send me your thoughts. -Doug L. (MajorSoB)
