I have just learned of this event : www.warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=19Sixteen countries will be sending teams this year, sixteen!! It is currently entitled the european 40k championship, each country sends an 8 man team. The rules are listed on the forum linked above. No country outside of europe has gone yet, but they say they would love for it to become a world championship, any country is welcome. It is two days long, I believe it has always been on a weekend in August. Paintraina, myself, and the other member of our adepticon team I am not married to, are considering attending. Their rules pack and faq look very well thought out. I would love to bring a USA team there, and after the comrades I just listed, I can think of no better group to join us in battle than DaBoyz. So I ask you this gentlemen, Who would consider traveling to Munich Germany (think of the beer!) in august 2010 to represent the United States at the first world 40k championship?

d**nit wyatt, we are trying to recruit them, not scare them off!
You don't need to speak German, the official language of the tournament in English. When you have that many countries playing you gotta use english, its the new French!

This would be interesting, but it looks like they are not scoring painting, comp and sportsmanship.

Might be a little short notice but if you get a team together, I'd be interested in trying to make it. I've always wanted to travel over the pond to play.

Then I'm game. The only problem I see is that there is no way we are going to allow you guys to wear pink "DaBoyz" shirts. You are going to have to man up (as much as physically possible) and go with the traditional black or blue.

What? We're not wearing any of your club's uniforms, we won't be there as our respective gaming groups, we are gonna need Team USA uniforms of some kind. Besides, I've seen what happens when you boyz are allowed to dress yourselves: *shudder*

don't worry...I'm sure customs won't catch you sneaking in the pink thongs with the us flag on it...
at least kemp and I are holding beers...not that it gives me much but I can blame anything on beer...my children, my fatty liver, losing to sober ass Wyatt...

I see you guy's struck out with all the wenches, so you decided to cross dress in skirts. Actually I think your photo shoot came out great. Just get some wenches in the photos next time. Thanks for the entertainment and have nice day, CIAO! ;D ;D ;D

The 2009 tourny happened this past weekend. The results page can be seen here: www.wh-etc.com/en/wh40k/teamsSweden took first by a commanding margin. I am serious about forming a team to go next year, I'll contact the organizers soon and let them know of the coming American Invasion. If you are interested in going, send an email to me at spacecurves@yahoo.com. It is a year away and the exact dates haven't been set yet, so you don't have to be 100% committed at this point. I just want to collect contact info for possible players. Shaun, Jay, and the Hobins I hope you guys can go, I want to show those European pansies how to really play the game.
