Then, perhaps, what we'll have to do is combine our game and Troopers game since it doesn't look like he has any opponents...

If Trooper joins our Game and we get the imperial player to join, that should allow us to keep the 20k points total.
We have a week, lets hope we can figure something out.

OK, totaled up my Space Wolves so if things get lonely at the Apoc table we will have - Titan Legion - 7,450pts / 4,900pts (For a more balanced game) Space Wolves - 3,750pts Troopers Tau or Imperial Guard - up to 15k Garou's "other Imperial" player - 4-5k? So we should have no problem with you guys fielding all of it, even your titans.

If Trooper joins our Game... Well, I've been out of town for four days. I have three days left to wrap up a page of terrain "loose ends"... and I'm (this) close to having Jay call off the Apoc event due to lack of interest. Needless to say there's not a chance in hell I can come up with an army list of any kind... I'm just too fried.
So you all know where my head is at now that I've got some sleep (...with some fun facts): I'm discoruaged and getting pretty down, to the point of calling this an "epic fail" and just giving up. I'm sure people just see this as an ad-hoc time killer for those who couldn't get into the tourney. But it's more than that. I've been planning and finalizing the table designs since last December when DaBoyz first contacted Will... and I've been fabricating everything pretty much on my own since June. Little expenses have added up over that year not to mention a hundred hours of labor. Easily $300+ have gone into raw materials, ballast & sand, paint, 6-foot foam block covered with 5-gallons of liquid latex, more paint, 20+ totes and boxes to store and transport everything, etc., etc. Not including the plastic kits that were realocated into the project. I've received some random help with specific elements, but the majority of this has been on my shoulders. Jason has been been able to secure a trailer, yes a TRAILER, to transport everything. But I guess it's my fault for voulnteering to do this with no clear or gauranteed payoff . "Build it and they will come!" Yea... right. I was afraid with an event like this there would be more than twentyfour (24) people wanting to play! ...and three tables wouldn't be enough! Not including Dave and myself who were going to be there anyway... we've got three (3) people posted to play. Three. It's just hard being the only one excited about something.

I understand where you are coming from. I have invested a lot of time and money into getting tickets, buying models and painting them. Ask my girlfriend how she feel about the months I have spent painting and standing over a table of minis counting points.
If there is not going to be an Apocalypse game I need to know now. No sense in collecting all the models and packign things up in foam and boxes to cart them to the U of R and have the game called off. Its a busy time in my life right now and if this is not going down on Saturday, please make it official. I have other things I have had to cancel or put on hold due tot his event that I need to get done.

Jay or Trooper, is this still a go? Will the tables be there and this event going on with 3 people signed up?
If so when are we able to have access to the room on Saturday?

We have at least 4 signed up and one on the fence. I know that's not nearly what we had hoped for. I know there were about 20 or so that expressed interest when this subject was first breached a year ago. It'd be a shame to cancel now with all the work that Trooper and Brian have put into getting the awesome tables and huge Chaos force ready to go (I'm sure dswanick has done his fair share of purchasing and painting models too).
I agree with Brian, that we need to know now if this is going to be canceled. We've all made arrangements to be available for this, if it's for nothing, I'd rather know now, so I can make other plans.

I can not speak for trooper on if he is still coming, but we will have tables there for the apocalypse since we signed paper work for renting tables, but I can not guarantee we will have terrain for them. I hope Trooper can make the trip but I understand where he is coming from. This GT has been a lot of work for the people running it as well for those taking part in it. In hind site there probably should have been more coordination between us but we have also been stretched very thin.

If anything, I'll see if Jason and DSwanick can bring the Ash-World City table up there for me. Then you'll have a table to play on. I just can't do it myself.

Yes, you have an Apoc game to play!
...I just got off the phone with Jason, and he will be bringing up the one table for you all to play on. Game on! Have fun! Take pics!

So the whole ball of wax falls to me... The ASh-city table will be set up friday night, and so long as we have enough warm bodies and minis - the game will commence saturday morning as planned.

I have confirmation that you will have another player on the Imperial side. Ultra marines. I'll nail him down for a point total, but plan on a lot of troops and not too many in the way of tank/super heavy hunters unless there are more models to borrow than what we were able to get together for him. I also have 4000+ points in Space Wolves in various stages of paint that I can bring in case someone shows up at the door and wants to play.

Thanks, Soleman. That's good news. I think we'll have the SH front covered, so all we're looking for is enough Imperial players to bring our points total up to a manageable level. Looking forward to seeing you guys on saturday.
