I wanted to touch base with everyone and let you all know what we are going to do with next years tournament series.
Our annual player meeting to discuss the format of our events, scoring and anything else will be Tuesday, January 11th.
We are changing our events a bit based on what the player base is looking for. 40k events will be either using our comp system or run as straight 'Ard Boyz events. Our invitational will be run using painting and comp however.
Here are next years events
January 8th - 40k Painting and Comp February 12th - 40k 'Ard Boyz style March 12th - Fantasy Painting & Comp April 9th - 40k Teams event (Details to come) May 14th - 40k 'Ard Boyz Style June 11th - 40k Throne of Skulls event July 9th - 40k Painting & Comp August 13th - 40k 'Ard Boyz September 10th - Da Boyz GT Primer October- No Event "Da Boyz" GT November 12th - 40k One of Event
December 10th 40k Invitation Only Finals Event
A few things to keep in mind. I am not sure when the 40k 'Ard Boyz GW event is next year. We will be running this event so changes to the schedule may occur. We also may throw in a Primer for the GT as well. We are going to run a Throne of Skulls event for sure this year. I will let you know when that event is as soon as I know.
Thanks

Wow Travis! Huge props for facilitating more diverse events, especially for us "ard boyz" fans.
I'm stoked!

I was the one who suggested running them so everyones style of play could be addressed. Hopefully the guys who want 'ardboyz will come to the comp tournaments with comp lists now, and the guys who want comp will come to the 'ardboyz with tough lists.

Any chance the non-comp events can be bumped to 2,000pts to reflect competitive tournament army sizes?

Spoke with a couple of people today that were interested in having the teams event held before Adepticon. I am game for that. So the January event will be a teams event using much of the Adepticon rules set. The teams will be two man teams consisting of 1000 points each. I will get more details on this soon. Price per player will still be 10 dollars a head. I will be giving out the same prize support s always. Please get a post going on who has a team and if your looking for a team sooner then later.
Only the top team will qualify for the invitational.

This should get you the information you are looking for... www.adepticon.org/11rules/201140Kteam.pdfThe only real question is what composition are we using (there are 4 force organization setups and some allow Forge World). Generically, however, it looks to be... 1 HQ 0 - 1 Elites 1-3 Troops 0 - 1 Fast 0 - 1 Heavy

If anyone is looking for a partner, I can field 1,000 points of fully painted and based Space Marines.

ok so i know MG has alot of space for tables but is there a limit? because my team and another will be comin up from buffalo . And we just wanted to know if we had to reserve spots?, i figure its less likely since team games also take up less space but just wanna make sure
