Yes, please spend 1400 of your 1850 on non-scoring elites and heavies just to exploit the comp loophole ;D Please.
Only the first portion of the comp score would be flawless. You still wouldn't get the 30 judged points.

Lets just be clear what that ruling on land raiders means... that codex marines can take 3-4 land raiders in their list, and still have a flawless comp score. 1 raider dedicated to assault termies 1 raider dedicated to tactical termies 1 heavy raider 1 heavy raider crusader. I'm fairly sure that this ruling only effects marines and guard, right? Horst, that right there is 1400 points worth of a 1850 list. Now, lets assume you take the bare minimum for the rest of the army. 100 points for a chaplain. So now we are up to 1500 points. We need at least 2 fast attack choices per the rubric so lets take a multi-melta attack bike and a multi-melta/heavy flamer land speeder and anotehr 125 points. Now, again per the rubric we need 3 troop choices AT LEAST. So, say 3x 5 man tactical squads at 90 points a piece. Oh wait, that will put us up to 1895 points. Well, that doesn't work since we are playing in an 1850 tournament, so we're going to have to cut back down SOMEPLACE. Well, we could instead take 3x 5 scouts squads. That will put us at 1850 right on the nose. So now lets look at our army. HQ: Chaplain Elites: Tactical Terminator Squad -Dedicated Land Raider Assault Terminator Squad -Dedicated Land Raider Fast AttackAttack Bike; Multi-Melta Land Speeder w/ Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer Troops3x Scout Squads Heavy SupportLand Raider Land Raider Crusader Ok, cool! Now I've got a perfect comp score! Oh wait, now I have an army that A) doesn't have a shot in hell at winning the tournament and B) is going to have an uphill battle simply winning games. By all means anyone is welcome to find loopholes in the rubric. I'll be the first person to admit that it isn't perfect. It's the first year that we've implemented it and I'm sure we'll be making slight tweaks to it. The thing is you point out the potential for a 4 land raider list and I can guarantee that it would not win the tournament, not with the caliber of players that are going to be playing in it.

Two thoughts...
The list you just posted above is quite similar to many Euro style ETC lists where troops are either kept in reserve or protected in landraiders to score late in the game. They are used just to score objectives not as a fighting force. If you switch the landspeeder for a storm you have three transports ( LR, LRC, Storm ) that you can use to get your troops in position with. This is a great points denial list. Don't underestimate how good it could be!
As for those phantom "30 judges points", you basically summed it all up, they are spite points being given or denied by the judges if they take list to their liking. "Play 40K our way with our rules or else!" Again it makes no sense to have hard comp mixed with subjective scoring, but since this has no affect on me maybe I should stop my rant.

A denial list might be good for team play, but wouldn't be so hot for 1 on 1's.
"but since this has no affect on me maybe I should stop my rant ..."
I'll bet many would agree with this sentiment.

MajorSOB, can I ask why you are even still talking and trolling this particular thread? You have made it crystal clear that you do not like how we are scoring comp this year and that you are not going to be participating in the GT. However you continue to spew hate and discontent here and other places websites and forums. Now, I am all for constructive criticism but enough is enough. I and the other TO's and judges are working too *(#!@ing hard to put on a fun event to constantly see your crap on the internet. I mean honeslty man, your like an overgrown child crying that he didn't get his way, I taught 10th graders last year that are mature than you are acting about this entire issue. You are perfectly right, there is absolutely no effect on you since you won't be playing in the tournament. So how about you keep your mouth shut for once and leave this thread to people that have genuine questions regarding the comp matrix?
