Hi
Questions regarding "named/special" characters, just to be clear:
Are the following named/special: Nightbringer and Deceiver (Necrons) The Emperor's Champion (Black Templars) The Avatar (Eldar) - it is a 0-1 Unique in the book
I assume that they all are but would like to know for sure.
Cheers, Nate

Cheers, Nate ok so this is how the we are ruling it. Nightbringer and deceiver are special characters Emperor's champion is not, purely because they have to take one. The avatar is not one and treated like the Greater Deamon in the chaos codex (0-1)

Hi
Thanks for the quick reply Smitty.
That keeps my Crons out (but is not a problem/beef/whatever), but my buddy with his eldar will be quite pleased.
Cheers, Nate

I just wanna say, job well done on the comp system.
A few minor tweaks to my list from 2 years ago, and it fits perfectly into this new comp system.
Looks like it should keep the crazy armies out (mostly). Could have been a lot more restrictive, but I imagine thats what the judging is for.
I keep meaning to dust off the army and head in to play, but things have been crazy lately. Hopefully I'll see you all at the mission test on the 10th!

Depending on what else is in your army you could still work to get the 40 point minimum on the rubric to play in the GT. However, as a fellow Blood Angels player I am astounded that you are not using any FA choices. The Baal predator is a solid choice, and so are attack bikes. To each their own right?

Quick point of inquiry. With BA and the ability to take multiple Sang Priests under one selection, we would not be incuring the -20 penalty for same unit under elites correct?

If he means flames of war dice, I'll agree as long as all dice that have been purchased in Toledo, passed through Toledo or have been Toledo adjacent are also banned.

Question on the comp rubric as from your scoring and what is said on the rubric says two different things.
Lets say I pick Black Templar and I look at my heavy choices.
I have four units to pick from. Predator Land Raider Land raider Crusader Vindicator
I pick a Land Raider and a Land raider Crusader. On your Rubric it says this:
Heavy Minus 20 pts for 2 of the same units regardless of options
This shouldn't count as minus 20 points on your rubric correct? They are two separate units by codex choices. I would understand if you picked two predators or two Land Raider Crusaders and regardless the options that would still fall under Rubric choice.
Needs to get this clarified quickly as Rubric is suppose to clear confusion and subjectivity but if subjectivity is going to come back into the Rubric your just opening up more issues.

Since Godhammer Land Raiders and Land Raider Crusaders are listed as SEPARATE codex entries they will not be considered duplicate selections under the rubric.
The same would go for Valkyries vs Vendetta Gunships. They are not in the same "box" in the codex, they are not simply "upgrades" but rather completely separate selections.
Another example would be Tactical Terminators vs Terminator Assault Squads. Since they are listed as separate entries they will not be considered duplicate unit selections.
Thank you Darkwynn for bring this question up, we'll be sure to get something up to clarify this ruling.

Lets just be clear what that ruling on land raiders means... that codex marines can take 3-4 land raiders in their list, and still have a flawless comp score.
1 raider dedicated to assault termies 1 raider dedicated to tactical termies 1 heavy raider 1 heavy raider crusader.
I'm fairly sure that this ruling only effects marines and guard, right?
