The two placing players qualify to participate in our free December 40K Tournament Series finals.
Registration starts at 930 am
Points- 1850
Three rounds
Lunch after round 1
Format : Everything in your codex is considered 0-1 except troops.
Anything that alters your list to let non-troop units become troops does not get that benefit.
Dedicated Transport 0-2 total. This means you can take 2 Drop Pods or 2 Rhinos or a Drop Pod and a Rhino not two of each type.
Vehicles that can be taken as heavy or dedicated transoprt can be taken as either
No named characters - This includes characters like Arjac.
Only 1 AV 14 in your army.
We will judge painting. There will be prizes for best painted unit.

Avatar does not count as a named character, correct? Looks like I'll be running my GT list minus Eldrad (which didn't factor in much during the event).

So does that rule include Wraithguard? In the codex it states "A unit of 10 Wraithguard led by a spiritseer my be fielded as either an Elites choice or a troops choice."

I believe the intent is no force org modifications. Like, no troop tervigons or wraithguard. Most of the other modifiers are blocked through the special character ban. Probably means wracks are always elites also.

i agree with aaron on the intent of the rules
unfortunately i cannot make this event and have not qualified for december either, so just out of curiosity when will the 2012 schedule be made? and will there be a couple team tourneys thrown in?(cough**january-febuary**cough)

Aaron's interpretation is correct. As far as 2012. I will have the schedule up for that in December there will be at least 2 teams events.

just as a heads up, I'm running this and its gonna be themed for the holidays... two missions are gonna be non-book missions and don't worry there not gonna be like gt hard, just different.

Unfortunately, no tourney for me either. Hole in the stomach still kicking my ass. Hoping to be up for the malifaux next week. I may stop in during the tourney to say hi, but not likely.
