I was thinking the same thing but did not want to burst his bubble hehe. Maybe he is trying to confuse the Tau players so when their new codex comes out they dont hurt Eldar as bad hehe.
Very clean and very good work Kevin.

The lines were originally painted as solid stripes ( like Andy did on his Venoms) to add contrast to the white and blue hull but as I was cleaning up the borders with the white I went to far and segmented a stripe and thought it looked pretty cool so I went crazy. It didn't occur to me that it looked Tau-ish until pointed out. Does that mean I can mount twin linked railguns on my serpents now

Picked up some Vallejo Florescent Green paint the other day... used a little bit of it to a final highlight on a model I'm working on. Gotta say, it makes the green POP.

Looks really good Horst. Is that Codex Gray on the intakes? I also like the lighting effect from the eyes. I feel like I am sort of quasi participating in the WPL so I will continue sharing what I spent today with my in laws doing. Full size pictures can be found here purple-40k-reign.blogspot.com/

Lookin good guys. I'm falling behind due to the holidays and the baby will arrive Thursday. I was able to sit down and airbrush a few dudes Sunday tho. And here's a trueborn I finished up as a test model. Luckily they paint a lot faster than my GK's so I hope to be able to finish by March.

The key is to paint while you spend quality time with the baby I think, I hear they sleep a lot initially. The Warriors look good, makes me want to shell out for an Airbrush. Maybe I can convince the wife to get me one for a birthday present. I am up to 7 Daemonettes done. The latest is...

The blending on all your DE is really really good, how are you approaching them overall? It looks like an airbrush for the base on them (the transition is awesome) and then some brush work for highlights?
The blue on the agonizers really plays well with the warmer red/purple colors on the main body as well.
The Seekers are the next model in line, most of the steeds have their base coat completed and need highlighting to start. My struggle with them is how much to differentiate the flesh of the seekers with that of the Daemonette rider so they do not blend together too much.

Thanks Erich. The strength of airbrushing is in color blending that's why you usually see it on force swords and vehicle weathering. I used it starting with orang on top, red in the middle, purple on the legs, and black on the feet. Its supposed to look like an upside down sunset.
The blending will happen with the proper pressure and paint viscosity which takes some experimenting. After that, I did a black wash on the underside of the arms and legs a la zenithial highlighting (or the opposite). Then I dry brushed the top sides with a light grey.
Check out Picster's daemon prince on CMON sometime. That was my inspiration to pursue color blending with an airbrush.
