With the Marauder GT now gone, a few of us Elmira guys are thinking of hosting an Indy GT in the fall to replace it. We are looking at locations now, and we'd like to see as many of the Rochester gamers there as possible.
Out of the 2 locations we are looking at, Elmira or Syracuse, which would you be more or less likely to go to, if location has anything at all to do with your decision?
Thanks, Corey

We have a location pinned down in Horseheads, NY, and a target weekend, Sept 28th-30th.
As far as gaming goes, we will likely eliminate the scenario cards, as there were such strong feelings against them, and if the Colonial is going to use them, then no point in having 2 identical tournaments. And there will be judge scored comp and painting.
What we’d like to do is gauge the interest from the various regions/clubs and see what kind of attendance we could expect to pull, and see if this is going to work. So if you’re interested, and think you’d come, let us know. And if you have any thing that you’d like to see done at this tournament, speak up, suggestions welcome. Feel free to email me at cmreynAThotmail.com.
Thanks, Corey

Nice to see someone other than me running a tournament. If I can make it I will be there.

Here's the details: Official Tournament name: The Crossroads Challenge '07 Location: Holiday Inn Express Horseheads, NY 14845 www.fingerlakeshotels.com/index_blue.shtmlDate: Sat Sept. 29th - Sun Sept. 30th (with Friday night open gaming) The group rate for hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn will be $100/night, just reference the Crossroads group. For those that don't want to stay in the same building as the event hall, there is a $42/night Knights Inn on the opposite side of the intersection from the Holiday Inn. However, the intersection is 8 lanes in all directions, plus highway ramps, and is normally extremely busy, so it's no fun to walk across. Tournament Fee: $40 - there will be 70 slots available, and we will be able to take payments through Paypal. There are a ton of places to eat right nearby, so food options are not an issue. Technically, alcohol is only allowed in the hall if it is sold through hotel catering, but the manager said he won't press us on that as long as anything brought in is kept discreet. We are working on the Website, and the rules pack will be posted on there once it is complete, and then we will start taking registrations. Email me with any questions: cmreynAThotmail.com

As long as there isnt any round-base bullsh@ttery tournament going on that weekend, we might get a few more of us to go!

No 40K tournament is going at that time.
besides the round bases will fit on square pieces of cardboard.
Or maybe we can get actually bricks and set our mini's on and move them around.

Thanks, Corey Anywhoo, back on topic: Army I'll be using?!!! Come on, I barely know what army I'm playing each week! Not to mention the forthcoming "JohnBoo cant bring his rhinox" rule, and the ever popular "Proxy/No Proxy" debate! ;D

Corey,
I will be there, with Tomb Kings.
Some questions; Have you decided how you are going to do scoring for comp/sportsmanship? Is this going to be a "hard" list tournament like the Colonial ended up being, or a more friendly list tournament? Is there a website to get tournament info yet?
Ryan
