I am one of the illiterates you mentioned.... Matt any word on the type of mission or board setup for this game? Do we have a solid points cap per player? Amount of super heavies per player/side? Table layout?? I know there was mention of an L shaped table... fully painted or not? I am sure this might have been mentioned or suggested in the thread, just would like some solid information from the person running this event. The answers to many of these questions dictate whether or not I plan on attending. Thanks! Hooked on phonics werked for me!!  (7 smiles) |

I can't make the 10th, sorry. Definitely in for the game though.
Also, I've been talking with Smitty that if there is a 3k points cap per player, I may be able to put together two armies and let him give the bugs a try. So that could potentially be another bug player.

Ok, as discussed before.
3000points per person, 1000pts must be from an apoc book
Board will be enitirely a city
Deployment will be discussed at meeting.
Limitations will be discussed at meeting
Painting NOT required.
Mission will be disccused at meeting
Generally keeping the same guidlines as the previous Apoc games but more will be discussed at the meeting.

But these comments are perfectly acceptable? In fact I dont much care now that I think of it....I hope you are happy playing Fantasy and enjoy that game system and playing with the square base-ers. In fact let me know how I can see that you continue to play fantasy and not 40k and I will see what I can do to support it! ;D Theres one thing youll have to learn, I dont much care what people say about me personally, it doesnt phase me. I expected that from our mutual Friend and know with all certainty that he would bite at the bait I gave him and as you can see, he does not fail to impress with his timely reply and unchallenging wit and originality. -thats sarcasm son, for those youngings. How is my good natured jab any different than this? So as not to continue Hijacking Brian's thread, and since this really belongs in this one:
Here's the bottom line, if I am to participate in this game, there needs to be:
1) Better communication (last game had good communication).
2) We can't have someone repeating that they are not running this, but yet take the stance of authority, and say what those of us willing to discuss ideas have to say is not valid because we aren't running it.
3) We need to have a meeting where the majority of the players (from both sides) are in attendence and the organizer is facilitating.
I'd hate for people to think I'm not willing to help and am the type to leave it all to a few people, so I will commit to:
Take minutes from the meeting and post them for all to see.
I also offer the use of my vehicle to transport boards, terrain, whatever if necessary.
Make an asset for the Nid team.
And I will, of course, help with set up and break down as I've done at every event I've attended.
I didn't think I'd need to volunteer for these things so early on (or need to publicly take credit for them), the list could have been taken at the meeting, but since I've been accused of not contributing....

Becuase it wasnt a good natured jab. You and I both know you posted it to get a rise out of me becuase of the situation going on. It was done purposely to bait or taunt me because of the desicion I took. I find that distatseful. I have been only trying to help out and you took it upon yourself to not only b!tch about it buw not that I stepped back and gave you what you wanted you decided to continue with the negativite comments.
There is a diffrence here with good natured jabs and distasteful comments.
Well it seemed to work for the last two events. I had no problem from the players when I offered to help and orginized meetings and whatnot. You seem to be on this crusade to undermine the event and now take it over. What happened to No matt, no meeting? This shows alot about your character and Im disapointed.
How is any of that above diffrent from what I have done or diffrent from what I was trying to acomplish? Its the exact same thing...I guess that means your issue is with me.
Seriously...what have you done for Fall Out? What have you done beside complain and moan? Can you honestly answer that?

I hope those who still want to play have a good time with this, I really do. alrite. lmk if a spot opens up. my nids r always rdy to harvest more bio mass. and the crons r all too eager to put an end to the imperial A spot just opened up man, good luck. |

With the response my team mates gave me, they insisted I stick it out for the game. As to ensure this will go off, I will stand by my commitment I made and play in the game on the side of the imperials. Tommy brought up a good point today, If you are already on a team you already made a commitment to play, I would be ashamed if I did not uphold that type of promise to my team mates and opponents.
However I will no longer partake in the evolvement of this event as it was evident my help was not needed. Also, I will not be able to attend any meeting on the 10th of August if said meeting happens. I have a prior commitment (unkown at the time I suggested the meeting, life happens after all.), Im sure I will be filled in if it happens.
