We're still on. I'm on the fence on what army to bring still. I have a feeling that I'm going to have issues dealing with a sit back and shoot army no matter which I bring. I need to find out how to handle that though so it might as well be tonight.

At only 400 points each, we should have enough time for two games. That being said I'm bringing two lists, space wolves and bugs. They get to prove their worth and earn their right to be my army for this league.  |

Mwahahaha, I get to choose your destiny then! Everyone, what army should I make soleman paint? Do I let his bugs win and make him choose to play bugs in the league? Or do I let his Wolves win and thereby making him choose to play the Wolves? ...OR.... Do I crush both! Then make him flip a coin to choose his future painting project? ;D ;D ;D     |

To help work out some of the rules, i think you should be made to taste your own medicine! Play a game this weekend with the 400 point rules. See what needs fixing!

The new marine dex comes out the day before this starts (Oct 4). Will we be using these new rules from the start, after the first week, not at all, or some other variance of that?

God Slayer, That is a definate possibility. I need to put some more stuff together, but it is an attainable goal. Dacius, A definate maybe! Dragon, at the conclusion of week 1 I will post point standings and what is expected of you in the next 2 coming weeks until the next round. 600 will probably look the same as 400 due to the small point sizes. Probably require the 2+ Troops and 0+ HQ with the same restrictions as 400. Same with vehicles. Soleman, Im going to give everyone a few weeks notice. We will start the Escalation League with the "OLD Marine Codex" after the first week I expect Marine players to be using the NEW Codex. That should give all the players a fair amount of time to review and remake thier lists should they need to. Also it will allow Marine opponents to read up on the cheese...*cough* I mean rules. |

Yo D.O.G. (Director Of Games), with so many changes
to the Spacemarine Codex, I don't see how I can declare
my army as being Blood Angels.
What do think about having the first 800 points (3 tournaments)
be straight Spacemarines out of todays codex?
Declaration of Spacemarines to be committed by round 4, after the
the Codex is available (October 5th).

Well Dragon, seeing as we aren't starting until the 5th (after codex release), and it isn't that hard to see an advance copy, I see no reason to change the rules IW already set out. Old codex for the first week, new codex thereafter. Declare from the start.

The way I understand this, we start at 400 points week one, week two 600, week three 800, and so on, right?
At what point do HQ's start becoming required and at what point do we start adding more armor? I plan to have 1000 points painted by week one, I just want a little direction to help me prioritize.

Dragon, we will play from the "Old" Codex for the first week (400 pts), then for 600pts we will use the "New" Codex.
Soleman, HQs wont become manditory until 800pts where the normal force Org chart will be enforced. 400 and 600 pts will be the same expect 600 will require 2+ Troops.
Aslo, Game one will be Oct 5th, Game 2 will be (if no complicatins arise) Oct 19th and game 3 will be Nov 2nd. However these dates are NOT set in stone, they may slide for tournaments, holidays or whatever.
