"I'm no happier about wearing this junk then the rest of you, but since we saw how well our stealth worked on that last .... feth up! I think we'll try disguise instead."
"Magnus and Hagbard I want the two of you to stick together and take the road up to the warehouse... Look bloody and wounded like you were just in a fire fight!" ,I smirk at the irony.
"Stukof and Kantor... you two spread out and cover them from the sides... stay out of sight as best you can you lugs!"
"The rest of us will follow along the road behind aways also looking wounded. I'm too sexy to be an Imperial officer... so I don't think my disguise is gonna fool anyone except at a distance."
"Move out men... and if there is trouble use your own weapons if you think you'll be better off.

“Come on Private.” rallies Lieutenant Stukof to Private Kantor They both head for the large warehouses entering quickly through a hole that was blasted in one of the walls.
Magnus and Hagbard stumble down the road looking haggard and bloodied. They travel past the ware house along the small dirt road when they turn the corner and meet face to face with a group of Imperial guardsmen. Magnus clutches his side and points back at the bridge giving a loud moan. Hagbard does likewise shouting out “Little green aliens are attacking run for it!”
The guardsmen they happen on seem initially surprised to see the pair. One who was holding a mechanical sword of some kind points it at the pair and shouts, ” Halt there! Why have you abandoned your post? What is going on here? ” He looks impatient as he awaits his answer.
Magnus looks to Hagbard who shrugs.
Captain Foser you are about 70 feet behind Magnus and Hagbard travelling alongside the warehouse. You quickly duck inside one the holes in the side of the building when the enemy forces appeared. You watch intently as the two privates are yelled at in the enemy language. You briefly start to wonder if either of them speak it when your radio squawks in your ear.
“Hello is anyone there? This is Private Tien Xhou Wong calling from inside the Delvers Dale mine. Can anyone hear me? Habib? Drake? Anyone” there is a long line of static.
-+-+-+-+-
Sergeant Drake you see the patrol of guard coming at you. You briefly reach for your grenades but decide to dash for the woods. Once deeper in the brush you try to get low and less visible. (Hide: 20,+3Total:23) (Move Silent Roll: 7,+3Total:10) It takes a while but you manage to avoid the patrol that is searching for you.
Just then your radio squawks. “Hello is anyone there? This is Private Tien Xhou Wong calling from inside the Delvers Dale mine. Can anyone hear me? Habib? Drake? Anyone” there is a long line of static.
Sergeant Drake you look back in the direction of the mine entrances and think about the explosives that the cyborg priest set. If those explosives were as good as yours there was enough there to cave in the mine shafts trapping Private Tien Xhou Wong and any villagers who survive the blasts.

"Wong, you've got to get out of that mine right now! They've rigged it to blow and taken all the villagers there... you've got to get them out" Sgt. Draketurns down his radio so it can't be heard by the patrols an makes for the bridge, avoiding the imperials and trying to meet up with his team.
what do i remember about the numbers of imperial soldiers at the mine?

Over my commlink, quietly to the team, "Magnus, Hagbard, keep them busy for a few seconds. I don't know... sing a song, tell them a story, pretend you can't hear from the grenade that went off on the bridge... anything. .... but be ready for close combat! On Stukof's mark, both of you duck back around the corner out of the way."
"Stukof, Kantor, you 've got them covered right? On your mark bring them down!"
As soon as the fighting starts I'll move up to defend our wounded members in close combat. (Knife, pistol style)

-+-+-+-+- K-Log : Private Tien Xhou Wong reporting.
“I remembered being woken from the dead by a bald man with glowing eyes. I was interrogated it seemed for days. I would reveal nothing so they threw me in a dark cell where I lay until Sergeant Drake blew my cell open with his shot gun.
I found my equipment and weapons and got out of that place. I had to split up from Drake and Habib to evade capture by the imperial soldiers. I made my way down the glacier to a small town called Delvers Dale. I hid among the people of that town.
They were more humans out in space. They too had been attacked by the foul Imperium. These people did not have the high technology of earth to defend themselves. Now they have been reduced to slaves mining for something in the rock under the glacier.
These people here are good and none are friends to the Imperium. I am lucky that I have a natural talent as a linguist and could quickly learn the peoples language. Like the Imperial soldiers it is a derivation of ancient Latin. I have asked that if any dressed and armed such as I show up that they are brought to me.
(Days later in log)
The miners found something special the other day and have been forced to work even harder. Its some sort of silvery liquid metal. I am going into the mines to get a closer look. The family I am staying with has dressed me and will help smuggle my tools into the mine.
Doing tests on the metal its amazing stuff. Took some samples to take back to earth. This stuff becomes amazingly hard when heated. (Lots of techno babble)
Tried heading out of the mine but they are not letting people out. In fact there are elderly, kids, and women in here who normally are not forced into mine work down here today. Tried my radio but cant get any reception from in here. Going to try to use the silver metal pipes as an antenna.
“Hello is anyone there? This is Private Tien Xhou Wong calling from inside the Delvers Dale mine. Can anyone hear me? Habib? Drake? Anyone” Private Tien Xhou Wong you wait for a reply hoping that one of your team is still out there.
Your radio squacks back "Wong, you've got to get out of that mine right now! They've rigged it to blow and taken all the villagers there... you've got to get them out" You think its Sergeant Drake.
(OK KDAWG your written in now. What you going to do?)

“Copy that” says Privates Magnus
Privates Magnus and Hagbard look at the imperial soldier who is barking in whatever language they bark in. and both of them look down to their grenades.
One of the guardsman must catch the signal because he tries to grab Magnus. But the Army explorer is far to nimble.
In concert the two privates turn their backs racing back toward the bridge. Privates Magnus catches a rifle butt to the back of the head for his trouble. (4 HP Damage 16 Remaining)
Private Hagbard throws his grenade a little far but still manages to catch all the Imperials within the blast radius. (4rounds Fired 5.56mm + 1 fragmentation Grenade) This is followed quickly by Privates Magnus grenade which is exactly on target catching the squad again. (5rounds Fired 5.56mm + 1 fragmentation Grenade) The sergeant, one trooper and one of the heavy machine gun crew all fall ripped to a pulp by the deadly fragments of multiple grenades.
The two remaining guardsmen both turn around and run north. (Now out of sight around the building.)
Lieutenant Stukof reports over the radio, “I am in position” and lets loose a hail of automatic fire at the two guardsmen. (13 rounds Fired 5.56mm) The two guardsmen drop an a bloody mess of bullet holes and blood.
-+-+-+-+-
Captain Foser you quickly advance as best you can along the wall of the building but still cant get around the corner to fire.
Privates Magnus quickly gets around the corner again scanning the perimiter for further threats.
3600 XP /5 720 xp each -+-+-+-+-
Private Magnus looks around from his new vantage around the building. The Army Explorer checks in on the radio. “He’s hiding up a ways but I can see Sergeant Drake making his way toward us.” Private Magnus then informs Sergeant Drake by radio that the “Imperial Guard” ahead are friends. The whole team rendezvous on the north side of the warehouses.

Private Kantor takes a covering position near a hole in the north face of the warehouse ruins while the rest of the group talks.
Lieutenant Stukof begins. “Looks like mission accomplished. We have rescued Sergeant Drake and still have a viable escape rout back to Valkyrn One. I for one suggest we take it. The ships medical crew need to tend to Private Hagbard and myself who are both severely injured.” Magnus bandages Stukof’s wounds. (Restoring 1 HP)
Private Magnus begins to bandage his own wounds. (Restoring 1 HP) “Hey I still have more bullets and we have a crewmember in those mines. An attack on the occupying forces could provide the distraction that we need to extract Private Tien Xhou Wong.”
Private Hagbard speaks up next. “I am against leaving any man behind but I have lost a lot of blood and I am just a field tech. Perhaps Lieutenant Stukof and myself should head back to the ship while you all continue to extract our man.” Magnus bandages Hagbard’s wounds. (Restoring 4 HPs)
Private Kantor speaks up from his position without taking his eyes from his post. “We can’t leave a man behind. And we should keep the team together. My recommendation is we conduct a full frontal assault on the mines. We extract Private Tien Xhou Wong and we get those villagers out of there. With their help we can get all the imperial forces out of here. Take what they came for and earn a few allies while we are at it.” Magnus bandages Kantor’s wounds. (Restoring 2 HPs)
Lieutenant Stukof looks to Sergeant Drake and Captain Foser with an inquiring look.

"We are not leaving men behind, Wong has mission critical data that we need as well a repore with the natives, and we are not splitting up the team.... at least not fully. We're going to save these people... Lord knows we could use friends out here."
"Hagbard I need you to hold yourself together. Between you and Sgt. Drake I'm counting on you two to disable whatever these d**n Imperials have that is going to blow up the mine. So the two of you keep your eyes open."
"Sgt. Drake, you get to volunteer for the job of keeping the three of you alive ...yourself, Hagbard, and Stukof. Don't leave their sides."
"Stukof, Kantor, I want to hear your recommendation on a frontal assault plan that doesn't involve spraying that cave with as many bullets as possible. ...remember that there's friendlies in there."
"... and someone get Wong on the radio... we need to know what he knows about that caves defenses and demolitions as well as him getting the natives out of way when the time comes."

i relay the information i have about the external defenses to the captain and begin rigging c-4 charges. i will attempt to rig up double charges... ie: 2 blocks c-4 wired together in 1 bundle
i recomend sneaking up on one of the gun nests and blowing it out, then attacking from the opposite side using the explosion as a distraction. i would like to plant the bomb and sneak back to the rest of the party, but if it doesn't work i'll run and blow tthe charge. i would like to have the party already set up on the other side.

"d**ned Imperials! Taking the lives of women and children. Don't lives mean anything to these people!! (I'm aware if of the irony of my main 40k army.lol) Copy that!. I'll rally the people and tell them what the motherless low-lifes are up to. Create as much of a ruckus as possible out there. I'll need the disorder to gather the people and get them to point bravo india alpha. That should provide a decent refuge until we can plan our next move. I'll also be dropping a lot of mission and tech sensitive material that is IMPERATIVE to reach command. This material in here, it's beyond anything I've ever seen. I'll have to go radio silent until you act. Tien out!"
I relay as much information as possible about the opfor (opposing force) imperial side defending the cave and village area. I also give specific positions of gun emplacements and line of engagements the imperials seem to rally to and move to. *using my planning to predict the movements and how to outflank for our attacking side* After that, I pass word along to the people I've been staying with of what the imperials are trying to do and plan out a diversion and escape routes that coincides with magnus' given information. I also tell the people to look for structures that have the explosives attached to them to avoid as much causality as possible. (plan again for escaping and seizing Imperial weapons) If I'm able to carry/conceal my M92f and my combat knife when moving about I do so.

Sergeant Drake you have enough C4 to make 4 bombs as you indicated. You easily set fuses and have them ready. (Demolitions: Take 10,+8Total:18 *4 these bombs have a 12ft radius and 6d6 damage) You suggest using these bombs to blow away the gun nests destroying their defensive value and hopefully taking out a few imperial soldiers with it. You ask if anyone else has skills with planting explosives. It turns out that Drake, Hagbard, Kantor, and Tien Xhou Wong are the only ones skilled enough to plant any explosives.
Lieutenant Stukof points out that neither Hagbard or Kantor have any aptitude for stealth. “Private Kantor you will take position defending Private Hagbard and I. Sergeant Drake you are better off moving the explosives yourself.” Lieutenant Stukof ponders a moment and asks if there are any aerial photos or maps available.
Private Hagbard nods and brings up one of the aerial photographs that was taken in the Valkyrn One on his laptop. Sergeant Drake points out the position of the gun nests and where they cover the mine shafts and the toilway. He points out that while most gun nests are manned by five soldiers with the possibility of a heavy machine gun, the bottom most gun nest along the toilway is manned by six soldiers with 3 heavy machine guns. Their arch of fire can lay down suppression fire all along the toilway. The east most gun nest is now a soldering ruin. Its position will likely be manned or covered by the northern most gun nest perhaps with a full squad of ten guardsmen.
Lieutenant Stukof radios Private Tien Xhou Wong to receive whatever Intel he can get. The private reports that there are somewhere around a hundred troopers total occupying the town Including a number of heavy machine gun squads. In the mine itself there are only about a dozen overseers tops. He tells you the mines are all linked and most the able bodied men and women can improvise a hand to hand weapon. Private Tien Xhou Wong recommends a break out from the bottom most mine entrance. Lieutenant Stukof concurs pointing out it allows the women and children to quickly make for the cover of their homes.
Lieutenant Stukof points out that any plan is all worthless unless the can get Tien Xhou Wong and the villagers out. Its going to be up to one of them to disable the explosives set at least one of the mine entrances. He looks to Sergeant Drake.
Private Magnus points out that as soon as the guns start firing that tech guy is going to remote detonate the bombs.
At this point Private Hagbard interjects. “Between our radios and my tech gear I cant rig up anything to remotely disable the explosives but I should be able to create a frequency jammer that will temporarily block any attempt to remotely detonate the imperial explosives. Hopefully this can buy some time for Sergeant Drake to diffuse the explosives before Imperial reinforcements arrive.”
Lieutenant Stukof points to the fortress temple in the center of town. “Private Kantor will go with the Private Hagbard and myself. We will position ourselves in this large stone temple in the center of town. Private Kantor can trap it with his own C4 and take position in its tallest tower. From there he should be able to provide support fire in any direction. The temple and its stone construction should provide ample hard cover to protect this crew. This position will also give an excellent location for Private Hagbard’s frequency jammer. “
Lieutenant Stukof looks to Captain Foser. “Sergeant Drake would need at least two people to cover him while he disables the explosives at the mine. Private Tien Xhou Wong will be given the signal to start the evacuation as soon as the two of you are in position. He can assist you in covering Sergeant Drake and take over the task of disabling the explosives if Sergeant Drake is taken out.”
Lieutenant Stukof then looks to Private Magnus. “That leaves you. The frequency jammer may not work, or Sergeant Drake may find disabling the explosives to difficult. According to Intel the Tech Priest spends most his time here. Your job is to infiltrate that position then when the first explosion happens. Take out the priest. After that find a position where you can lay down suppression fire along the line of imperial reinforcement here.” Lieutenant Stukof points at the map.
Lieutenant Stukof radios Private Tien Xhou Wong with the details of the plan. The private concurs and tells you that he will be ready. He puts his stamp of approval on the details. (Plan Check Roll(1d20)+7: 18,+7 Total:25 For the first three rounds of the plan You will all receive +3 on all your attack and Skill Rolls +2 on the forth round +1 on the fifth.)
Lieutenant Stukof looks to all of you asking, “Is everyone good with this?”

Mulling over the details of the plan I nod to Stukof, "Looks like a solid plan. Lets do this." Turning to the group. "The disguise portion of this mission is over. Shed off any of the imperial gear that is slowing you down or not helping. Lets show these b@stards who they are dealing with! After all... We are the US of A... F u c k Yea!" Rousing speach check!
