we have already FAQ mission #2,
• If you don't have elite, heavy, heavy or fast attack then you will use troops to deploy. • You have to deploy at least two units. Daemon army will have special rules. • All other armies will have to deploy there two units. Yes this will screw an all deep striking army.
\ Please post any other comments and concerns.

hmm... mission 4, planetstrike.
if I combat squad a tac squad, and field one half with the transport, can I use the planetfall special rule on the other half of the combat squad?

Sure - why not? Just as long as you are clear that a vehicle can't planetfall.

as long as thats how your going to play it at a tournament, thats cool, but I can see how reading it RAW would deny the combat squad the ability to use planetfall... both combat squads have a dedicated transport, just only one can use it. doesn't change the fact that your rule says only units without a dedicated transport can deepstrike.

First of all, once SM separate into combat squads they become separate units ... obviously you can't cut your rino in half so it has to go with one of the squads.
Also, since a unit with a dedicated transport does not have to deploy with their unit, you could also pick a unit with a dedicated transport to planetfall. The mission doesn't say pick a unit without a dedicated transport to planetfall it says pick a non-vehicle unit. The rules are pretty clear now that both the transport and the infantry are separate units.
Why would this cause a stir?

question on the VIP mission... it states that you can win the primary by having your VIP moved off the table... but it doesn't say that both players cannot get this objective completed. The draw condition is not defined.
I assume if both players get their VIP's off neither gets the bonus? or is it if neither gets their VIP off they get the bonus?
or if neither gets the VIP off is that a loss for both players?

Do we need to make our own objective markers? V.I.P? etc?

For the VIP mission, both of Horst's scenarios would be draws, as would both VIPs being successfully guarded (i.e. more scoring units within 3 inches). You need to achieve the mission objective (i.e. get your VIP off the board or defend his body) and deny the opponent from achieving the objective to win. The reverse of this would be a loss.
ps - the draw conditions are spelled out on the scoring sheet for the mission, although the language here could be clearer ...

Do we need to make our own objective markers? V.I.P? etc? NO if you have VIP to use that would be great, but if not one will be provided for you.

The one thing the package is really missing - and that I rather desperately need - is instructions on how to get the Douglass Hall on the U of R campus (let alone, which campus the building is located, or what room we will be using). I've been to the U of R site and MapQuest, but I've received to different set of instructions.
I really don't want to get lost in downtown Rochester, so any help will be very much appreciated! Thanks!
