We (at the syr board) are working out the details. Do you have any ideas on what kind of formats we could use for a team tournament?

Hehe, Make it a sunday! So I may show up. YOu cant have an inter store challange with out the Champion of Chaos From Boldos! (Thats me) ;D Make it an all day event like noon till 8pm with breaks for dinner. Make it a huge game like a 10 on 10 or something like that. This will show that not only can your side play 40k well but that they can work as a team together, orginize thier forces and give support on the battlefield. I think as a Team vs Team or Club vs Club battle I think our Marshaling skills would be a good show of who the better "Team" is.  |

Whay you guys think about a format four our side?
I was thinking our side on a sunday. It would be an 8 vrs 8 tourney. (big but reasonable size tourney)
We would have at least 1 tag team round.
Perhaps even a swap army round.
I like the ide of a painting, and a comp score.
(Old style restrictive comp with a set of standards established ahead of time. - we can make a committie to propose the metrics.)
Of course we should make a Daboyz trophy. A painted model of some sort from each player.
They proposed 1 of each type of army, any suggestions on that type?

i guess so its not all chaos vrs space marines

That may prove diffacult with 8 people on a team. That would be what:
Chaos, Marines, Eldar, Tau, Witch Hunters.....(This is what we see alot of and is fully painted at Boldos.)
Depending on how far away the day for this is I could have my orks fully painted....But what elese do we have?

Sounds like fun, I'd be interested. Perhaps a compromise. No more than two of the same army type. Blood angels, DYI marines, Black Legion, Iron Warrior,..... and such. Perhaps we could even get them to come to our store for a change.  |

I would guess 1 type of each army means. One Ultra Marines, one blood Angels, one IW, etc...
So they don't face 8 IW armies.

Well if this is the case Lets see if we can get a date or atleast a month when this is to happen and perhaps how about we are going to do this. I still like the idea of a big game.
We would also need to see who is going to play what.
