IIRC, the FO was:
500, 750 - 1HQ, 1 Elite, 1 HS, 1 FA
1000, 1250 - 2HQ, 2 Elite, 2 HS, 2 FA
1500 - Full FO
If that's right, you have 1 HS too many @ 1000 - Kanz, Kannonz, BW
Waitaminnit!
Armies with vehicles can take 2 of the same vehicle - Battlewagon, Land Raider, Furioso Dreadnought, but armies with no vehicles (Tyranids) can only have one of each unit??? So Chumby can take 2 BW's but 2 Trygons is a nono?

Well, one is a dedicated transport. Maybe you can field up to 2 of each type of vehicle with AV12 or lower but only 1 of each AV13 and over. Or just dedicated transports that aren't Land Raiders/Battlewagons? Big problem with blanket restrictions like these is that they don't affect each army equally.
So just drop the BW's big shoota and the kannonz in favor of 3 Lootas then add that stuff at 1250.

Fair point Aaron and after squishing as many bugs as I could, I can't argue with your logic. One of each vehicle it is.
So final change only one of a vehicle. Each vehicle has to have a different name in your army.
No more then two of any troop choice.
That's it. The rules are locked. I will post additional info on possible changes to round lengths after some play testing.
1500 points follows the same restrictions as 1000, 1250.
Good luck

Right, so just for clarity's sake: -No SCs -No more than 1 of any vehicle (which would also apply to squadrons? So just 1 Kan, Speeder or Sentinel? Carnifex broods? ) -No more than 2 of any particular Troops unit -No more than 1 of each unit in Elites/Fast/Heavy -2 HQs max 500 points -Nothing T6 or greater -No more than 3 wounds -No vehicles with AV13 or higher -1 Troop minimum -no more than 1 Elite/Fast/Heavy 750 points -2 Troop minimum 1000 and up -No more than 2 Elite/Fast/Heavy Is that all?

Unless you come up with something completely busted, inside the confines of this very rigid structure, which will take the fun away from everyone else, that is going to use this event, to play stuff they wouldn't normally, in an attempt to have a good time, with other like minded gamers, then yes that's it.
In fact, for me, just write up the list that you want to bring that will wreck everyone else and post it here. The rest of us can look at the list and say"Wow you did it, you broke this format. You are the toughest list constructor in the world."
Then throw it in the garbage. Grab some stuff that's a bit different then what you usually play and that may actually test your skill in the game and have a good time.
Maybe my final addendum is that the field can look at everyone's list and decide if they want to play against it.

Travis you should add that if people lookat your list and refuse to play it it counts as a 0 point loss for the round for the player who got dissed for his cheesy hard core against the theme of YOUR tournament list.
Just so that everyone knows not to try to break the system and then claim Victory.

Done and Done. We certainly can't have people breaking the format with our anti-format breaking restrictions.

Aww, come on Travis, doesn't that sound a bit harsh? You can have fun without tying your arm behind your back. I'll be doing some list building and analysis on my blog. Hell, I'll even put them up here for "approval". Yeah, that won't cause any problems

this sounds fun. Just for you travis, i'll try to avoid complaining the entire time I'll be bringing a fairly one of everything marines list (the kind I normally bring anywho) and should be fun.

Jer, you know I am ball busting. But if everyone just brought some stuff and didn't have to try to "break the system" then I would have had to spend one tenth the time putting this thing together.
Steve, That's great news. I hadn't heard from you or seen you in a bit. Glad things are going well. Feel free to pop in on Tuesday. I have an army now. It's nearly finished, just waiting on one piece. I would love to to pound on your green space marines.

Travis, is there an online form for pre-registration or do we just pay/give our name at the cash register between now and the 12th?
I plan on bringing my Tau out for a spin. If anyone wants to play some games at the various point levels let me know. I'm usually good for a Tuesday night game.

Maybe I missed it in my skimming, but @ 750pts we can have 1hq/2e/2fa/2hs. At which level do we get the 3rd e/fa/hs?

when it comes to some armies only being allowed two troop choices, (necrons, dark angels, etc.) 2 elite, fast, and heavy choices may become a problem for them...

I've already got a Dark Angels list made up that meets all the requirements. It's not that hard, especially if you take full Ravenwing or Deathwing squads.
